Nice blooms, Helena and everyone else!
I reckon Helena is allured by the large-flowered varieties of Ipomoea nil.

I'm proud to say that these are the results of my (Orihime x Scarlett o' Hara) cross! Nothing special, though.

Here's a little experiment I'm doing with one of my mg's. I'm trying to see if I can get larger, more robust and higher quality flowers by using profound pruning. I'd let the plant grow at least 6 true leaves and then pinch it back to obtain 6 leaves, removing premature flower buds. Then side shoots would grow from the internodes of those leaves and I would keep, not necessarily the longest, but the most robust shoot and remove the rest of the plant, except for that one shoot. I would repeat that process at least 5 times. Then I would let that single shoot grow on a 8-10 foot cane, using the cordon method, removing all side shoots and every other flower bud, depending on the number of flower buds the cordon produces. when the cordon reaches the top, then I would pinch it back.

In this picture, I'm on trial 5 of this experiment, almost done:-)

Beautiful pictures Helena.

Thanks Helena. Your Lite blue blooms are absolutely beautiful this morning.
Like the Pink Silk and the lovely Pink TDye too.
We put the baby bird out yesterday because he had quit eating worms for me.I know his mama found him. I saw her in the lower tree branches after I placed him under the tree and moved away,.
If I had kept him, he would have died for sure, Not easy to save baby birds.
Edo Twilight
A tattered Saz. not as pretty as the other day
2 pics of my Spec mg, purple not blue. this one is variable with no 2 blooms alike.
These 2 pics are of the same bloom.
