Hi all, I'm hoping that someone on this forum could help me identify a spider that I found in my house today in Fairfax, Virginia.
It was a large spider (IMO) with legs reaching to about the size of my palm and was furry. I found him inside the house in a pile of laundry.
I'm just looking to see if anyone knows if this type of spider is poisonous as I have a baby in the house (and this is the 2nd we've found in last couple of weeks!) Thanks in advance for any help - I appreciate it!

This is a fishing/nursery web spider (family Pisuaridae) in the genus Dolomedes - see http://www.pbase.com/tmurray74/image/60037682 for an example. These are close relatives to wolf spiders, and not at all dangerous to humans. Despite the common name fishing spider, these often are found at quite some distance from water.
Thanks Flapdoodle! Appreciate the help!!
