Sounds good to me Linda. Only thing is I cannot have the good ole Southern sweet tea. I have to order plain and add sweetener. It's so refreshing though.

Susan arrives 4:35 Thurs afternoon
Resting and staying quiet as much as I can.
Dr told me yest it would be 2 to 3 days to recover, and I am to see him tomorrow.
Trying to eat. This has played havoc with my desire to. Weak as a kitten.

It is still chilly enough here for me to be drinking my hot Chai tea but I'll join you now even if you had yours a while ago. LOL

I enjoy Hot tea also, usually what I order when we go out to eat. Don't do coffee and don't want pop with food.

Tonight I ate - chicken/ pineapple rice. Bob was out shopping, and it got to where I was so hungry I couldn't wait, so I got the leftovers I couldn't eat on Saturday, and it went down niiiiii-ice.
This afternoon I was crying out for my bed, and finally Bob put some cardboard beneath the sheets and I slept on my back (I HATE sleeping on my back - would have preferred my side, but didn't want to mess my ribs up again). I slept......... fitfully...... but did manage to nap a bit.
Tonight I'm feeling much better - still feel a bit worn out but that's to be expected.

In hosp - 3 heart attacks since Friday, blood clots in lungs. complete bed rest
been here since this am - came by ambulance.
On oxygen

they told me, if I hadn't gotten treatment from paramedics right away, and Bob & I went by ourselves, I might not have made it - too much stress on my heart

Hi - Dr said I will likely be here until mid next week.
Minister (Nancy) came to visit and spoke to nurse re: Social worker seeing about where I will be returning to live until June. I think it would be detrimental to my continuing health.

Susan should be here, in Calgary - likely going through customs. Bob will be waiting at the airport to pick her up.

I'm beginning to be sorry I asked the city for help. Two contractors already and 2 different stories. One that came today said I needed electrical work done and my smoke detectors need to be wired in. I may not get my tub re glazed or a hot water heater if so much electrical has to be done. I really think they would rather tear down the house and start over. So disappointed.
We got some rain again, really came down hard. I may end up with a green lawn after all, but mostly green weeds.
Still enjoying working on quilts on Thursday afternoon. I'm now helping pin batting between top & bottom of quilt. When we get through we take it to the woman who sews them together. I'm the oldest one there, unless some more women show up. Nice women to visit with.
Susan, hope you get well soon. You must have had a scary time with 3 heart attacks. Prayers for you.

Sorry to hear they are finding other things to fix Pegi. Maybe they have to do what they consider safety work first? Bring things up to code?

yes, Pegi - I was very scared, but now just doing what I'm told.
they switched me to warfarin - transitioning me from the iv drip of similar drug.

Bob & Susan left awhile ago. My daughter sent me a beautiful basket of flowers, Bob gave me a Trinity necklace with a celtic cross. He also brought me my Valentine's day bear (36" tall)

Please pray for Jaye. She had a stress test done yesterday, and they found problems with her heart. She has to go in for a catheterization today, to see whats wrong. Please give her the strength and comfort she needs.

I called Jaye, but didn't get an answer - wonder if she was at her 2nd app't.
I continually pray for Jaye - she's a dear sistah, and needs strength from all of us.

Update on Jaye.
She went in for her procedure, and was told to come back next week to a different hospital, as if she needs to have a stent put in place, they could not have done it today. So next week, she will have the procedure, and if she needs a stent they will do it then. Please keep her in your prayers?

Today went to GP for results on my FIT test, and he mentioned the C word. Has sent request for me to get a colonoscopy done at the hospital. Also wants an abdominal scan at the lab. Not gallbladder or uterus as I had both totally removed 20+ years ago.
Bob & I haven't mentioned the C word since the Dr did and it's a very quiet household tonight.

My prayers are with you Jaye. Gentle hugs.....

Has anyone heard further from Jaye? I don't get an answer when I phone.

I am hoping that my daughter is right and that all I need to do is lose weight. She said a friend of hers has the same thing - mine is a raised GGT and CRP level. Should be 35 and it's over 300 (as if I were a heavy drinker or substance abuser, and I'm neither).

I talked to Jaye a few days ago, and gave the update. She is just trying to relax and read. Sometimes she turns the phone off.

Ah - that would be why I didn't get through to her. Please pass on my prayers and love to Jaye when you speak to her.

Any word yet on Jaye's procedure? Keeping you in my prayers all the time Jaye....

I believe she said she goes in this coming Tuesday. They will do the catheterization, and they discover they need to put in a stint, they will do so at that time.

Thanks LK. Just wanted to make sure I said extra prayers on that day.
