Daves updates

I was wondering if someway we could be notified when changes are made. For instance the landscaping forum now can have photos downloaded. I just stumbled on it by accident. I had sent tiG several emails with no response and got worried about her so I went to see if she had posted anyhing lately and stumbled on the landscaping deal. Maybe a forum that only you post to called updates. I just found the Bible walk last week through a posting of Zany's.

Poor Jim - hate to tell ya, but the Landscaping forum is brand-new as well, LOL!!!

It would kind of be nice if we could click on a "what's new" button again. Dave used to have one, but I think he probably felt it took too much time to maintain it every day.

And since you asked, I DO have Dave's permission to give ya'll an inkling of a new feature that's in the works. In a nutshell, it will let us rate mail-order garden companies, in a way that will be very very cool, unlike anything else on the web today. It will be available to members and paid subscribers of DG. To be honest, I have no idea when it will be ready for use, but knowing Dave, he could pull it out of his hat any day now.

So be making a list (of those mail order companies that you love and hate), and checking it twice....we're gonna find out who's naughty and nice (sorry I just couldn't resist!)

Jim! You actually read something I posted! How sweet!! But Dave usually does announce chances right here in this forum!
Note I said usually! Sometimes I think he waits to see if we will notice and what we think of it. It is one way to get a feel for how we are using the site and all that!

Terry, you're funny. I think that will be a nice addition to this site. Some places are definately better than others. I hope there's a "comments" section, too. Rather than rate a company simply with a number, sometimes it would be helpful to add a note, like, "bulbs were awesome but delivery was too slow". You know what I mean?

Smiln, does this mean you're home safe and sound? If so, hooray!!!!

And yes, there will be a place to add comments to support your rating (good or bad.) I think this could really become one of the very best features of DG, and that's a tall order to fill!
