When we were kids it was always the drum stick we would split up, adults got the breast meat. Now is is white meat for Me! I would give it all up if the skin was healthy and just eat that!!!!!!Whats your fave? Meems
White meat or dark meat??????
white, always:)
Dark, the only kind you find on a duck. :)
Dark meat on Thanksgiving day, white meat for sandwiches :-)
Give me a wing and stand clear. Love those wings from anything. Wish I was going to deep fry one and I might just do that.
T-Bone, Porterhouse,Sirloin, Rib Eye, Filet.
I think you get the point :)
I have to agree with paulgrow, unless I can get a chicken breast instead.
white meat only....we only buy the turkey breast. even the kids are spoiled, lol.
Both on Thanksgiving, white on sandwiches, both in pot pies. The meal that keeps on giving.....LOL
Michele
White meat better and ok with dark meat
A little of each...about 4 ounces total, after all we are weight watchers
Dark meat for me! I'm with Tim, go for the duck!
Erin
white for us nobody eats the dark meat.
I'm with paulgrow, ribeye for me!!!!! (with sweetpotato pie chaser)
When it comes to the bird I like the white meat better.
My kids and DH like the darkmeat!! We need one of those John Madden turkey's with 6 leg's!! (if your not a football fan you just won't get the John madden thing)
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!!!
white meat for me!
Give me a drumstick any day. Iam really happy with eather one as long as I have something to eat. My DH; he likes the breast.
:)
chicken - preferably white meat .
I think turkeys are only good to look at while they're living. They're so funny looking. :) Can't eat 'em.

WHITE MEAT FOR ME! DH LIKES THE DRUMSTICK.
White meat for DH and me.
I love the dark meat and DH only eats the white so we can both be happy!
Thighs and drumsticks, juicier. And any part of duck properly prepared.
Dark meat, definitely more flavor. Hubby eats more white. And I always make a soup from the bones with homemade noodles.
Dark meat is moister which is what I like. White meat only if I have gravy on it. White meat for DH. Son will happily eat both as will Mom. Soup with homemade noodles and home frozen vegis with the planned overs.
I prefer dark meat, especially the thigh, for the reasons stated above and my fiance is a breast man.
White for Thanksgiving and the rest is turkey salad. Yummy
First I think I will go to paulgrow's house and have a steak and salad.
I used to stay away from the white meat because it was so dry. Then I learned that slow-cooking the turkey overnight dried it out and was unnecessary. I also learned that you are essentially cooking 2 types of meat, the dark requiring a little more cooking than the light. Sooooo, the trick is to "tent" the white meat for most of the cooking time, only removing the foil the last 1/2 hour. This way you can keep the breasts moist while cooking the dark meat all the way through.
You know that little round rich dark part under the turkey, it's really tender and moist....well that's mine and nobody better even think of taking it from me on T-day!!!!
I love dark meat, especially the thigh. Hey Zany, ditto on what you said also.

Nobody likes the giblets! - Jeez
Giblet Gravy
Gooooooooooood Stuff
love the giblets and that little piece SoCal has her eyes on... My mom loves the neck..can you believe that???!!!! Shirley
The problem with giblets is that most people include the liver, which makes the dressing/gravy bitter. I save up broth with bits of chicken or turkey and freeze it for awhile before Thanksgiving and Christmas and use that.
Oh yeah I like the gizzard. But not my favorite.
