CLOSED: 2015 FALL SEED ROBIN IN FLIGHT

As you Know the Robin Has to start out somewhere & I Have tried to Plan this so that It flies out East to west to try to Beat the SNOW FALL So He won't get Stuck In a Snowbank :)

You all Know the Guidelines The Main one Witch is

1. POST Here When You Get the Robin & When you are Mailing it out to the Next home on the List .

I'm getting super excited! I've been purging my seed stash and have a few friends who've been collecting for me also. Cleaning and drying seeds as we speak, er, type.. lol

working like a mad lady today to get the seeds in the box address ready Players list ready still to print off, Just Potted up 14 Brug cuttings & 6-7 Maypop vines went over to Pick up more Compost soil today found a guy who will take all my garden waste Turn it into compost for me so gotta get my car onloaded so i can get back at the seeds .
Try to get back later today .

I'm waiting, but it will be a while! 😊

Robin is in flight & Says Friday it should land. so Mary/midwest will have the weekend to go through it :)

Good day everyone again very warm & sunny but not for Long going to dip back to freezing by the weekend so I have been
revamping a couple beds :) & going to winter sow some of my seeds in them lots of room to start them :)

So Far I Have about 6 -7 type of Columbines , 4 type of FoxGloves , the wire cages you see are for the 3 Type of APIOS I Have started to grow they are a Potato of sorts & The vines are very Pretty Also :) .

ok a lady friend from the Garden club Dropped off allot of sees from her Gardens so I Need to go through them if I find I have enough to start another Robin I can start it to go from West-south-east-& back home .

WOULD Anyone like in on it I can maybe Find some more seeds around the gardens if you like & Have it out maybe
sat - Monday but I Need to know who might like to go through another box .
so anyone can sign up for it & IT will go to the west 1st.

That sounds like fun, but I think this will be enough for now for me, perhaps if not enough interest for another Robin now, they could be saved for starting a Spring event?

I also had an idea for a different kind of Robin. How about we have one for outdated seeds? I have a bunch of old seed packets, some dated some not, for all kinds of oddities. Everyone in the Robin would understand the seeds may or may not sprout, but it could be a lot of fun, and could take a few from the packet to try.I bet many of you have old packets of interesting things.

I Don't Mind older seeds as LONG AS THEY ARE NOTED :)

I have had Good & Bad Luck with old seeds . When I 1st started a seed robin way back 6-8-yrs back I had Players Putting old seeds taken the fresh & some were Moldy .
& Found GRASS SEED In to Packets Marked as Salvia .

gotta ask Has anyone here grown Asters from seed?
I Have some 3-5 ft high Asters Red-pink-purple really Nice
but didn't know if anyone would like to try them or not.

also I have 4 types of Grasses, the last one pic 4 is an Elephant Grass 15Ft + Tall . The others are only 4-6 Ft

I have 4 types of asters that are 3-5 ft tall 2 that is about 2-3 ft tall

OK NOW : I have been getting request for others who want to sign On Now . My Answer to that is that we cannot sign you on at this time for we have a game of when the robin is going to land back home So it is not fair for the Players who have made their quest's .

HOWEVER : If you want to be in the SECOND ROBIN Then yes you may . Just tell me here you want to join the 2nd robin I will add your name . I want to be fair to everyone .
