Scary yes but not as bad as it seems. The hard part is laying still after

Jean, Lordy that is some flooding..I was in Galveston Texas just after the oil spill, was that 1989-1990? My first thought other than the well safety of lives was ' I wonder if Lakewood got damaged?' Hear Joyce Meyer will be there this weekend or next..so wish I could go.

"M" good to hear this procedure went well. Will both wrists be done for the carpel tunnel? I only had one done and it was many many years ago but it was short, easy and a good recovery.

Wish we'd hear from LK.

Once again I had a most awesome time presenting this quilt to Lee. He was so surprised, like many Viet Nam vets, he had tried to put it behind him. I don't know who had more tears Lee, his family, or me.

Beautiful quilt Karen. This mission of delivering the quilts has been such a great thing for you. I felt you were "down" so much and this has given you new meaning. I'm happy for you.

I really must get my camera back from my son. I finished a dog sweater for Sean's puppy and it came out nice.

Have another two purses to make!! This has turned out far better than I thought it would. But I am getting pursed out!!!! LOL

Barb, know what you mean by being pursed out, I'm over 80 tote bags..gee whiz Louise I can look at a pile of fabric scraps and know if there is enough for a bag..anxious to see the sweater..will the pouch have it as a Christmas preside under the tree?


Looks as though we are all up early..
Woke up at 1:00am, so tried to sleep but no go..finally decided to get up and make myself useful
At 2am

Finished the floor at so I can put it on the verandah for Halloween, didn't spend a lot of time seeing it's only out for a few days and was a left over piece of linoleum dragging around.

Then got the 2nd snowman runner I started ions ago sandwiched so I can quilt and bind..will only leave the hand sewing of binding and ties/eyes to put on.

Tomorrow morning Joanne, Roger's cousin Henri's wife is coming over with a friend to do a Christmas piece..had some kits made up so thought I'd get them on the wall to make sure the kits were complete..got 3, only needed 2' Lordy does that mean I will have to complete it?

Hmm inclement weather heading our was for Halloween, originally it was to be nice..oh well, rain beats snow

Girls get here at 9, wonder if I could snooze for 2 hrs?

Now wouldnt you know I could sleep. Grrrr

Worried about not hearing from Lindakay

No news is usually good news or so they say. I'm sure she is okay and will get here as soon as she can or knows something.

The sweater for Jake I will take to Stacy on Thanksgiving. It is a fisherman's knit so would only be worn on special days and then Jake could wear it for Thanksgiving as well as Christmas.
I will get a picture before I go there.

Morning everyone. I am home, I got home about 6 last night. I saw the surgeon, and after range of motion test, which sent me through the roof, he thinks maybe my hip problem is my back, so I was sent for anther MRI on my back, and I have to go back in 2 weeks for those results. He was telling me he likes to try and treat things with injections, and I looked him in the eye, and told him there will be no more injections, I have had enough of them and they do not work. I broke down and was crying, as I was so hoping to get a surgery date, but he tried to tell me it will only be a few more weeks for the MRI results and soon after that for surgery. I told him I have been fighting this pain for 4 years, I need relief now. Needless to say, I left there pretty MAD!

"M", I am so glad everything went well for Gord.

Oh, lindaKay, that is so disappointing. No wonder you were mad. I might have gotten physical. Some doctors don't seem to realize that while they are experimenting, you are in pain!!

I went to sleep early and slept well - for once. Anita was here yesterday. When she left she said she wasn't sure when she could return. I told her she is welcome whenever she can get here.

I'm still waking up. Back later.

Oh goodness Betty 9 pm is late for me. I read until 2-3am usually listening to music. Warren was an early to bed guy and he sleep well into the am. If I needed him to do something I would staart to fry up bacon. That got him up.

Guess it is a male thing, not listening to our complaints, it was first thing Monday morning, and he was booked. I begged to come back later in the day to get the new MRI results. I told them how far I had to drive. and I got, so sorry, see you in 2 weeks!

UGH!!! Linda, It's why I have so little truck with Drs. I got so tired of the little pats on the head and there there, hearing come back in a month. I finally told one. Hey this is happening to my body not yours, I don't have another month to wait for you to do another test, let's get this done or I can find someone who will.

LK, so sorry you are hurting. I do hope you get some relief soon.

Just had lunch, pump is pumping water out of pond so I can get the spray unit out..might get to do the 2nd pump as it's absolutely gorgeous out..was even thinking getting the Christmas lights out so I don't get caught in the cold

It gets easier since I know what to do when and I'm not constantly looking at the directions. But you still need to cut, press, sew etc and that time doesn't change..... I must admit I will be glad when I am done with these two. I was wise to say no more orders after the end of Sept.

Gosh I wish there something we could do to make doctors listen to us. I had my cardiac appt this morning and I feel so lucky as I had no problems. I have a woman doc and I wonder if that is why. She answers all questions and doesn't skimp at all. I really like her.

Poor Norm came home with a nasty bump/surface cut on his forehead last night right by his temple. It seems he was picking something up from the floor and someone had left a pipe sticking out from a pallet and when he stood up it got him good. Now he is telling everyone I hit him!!! Even the doc this morning!!!!!!

Beaus?????? Sure beats being lonely - I'm happy for them!!!!

Barb, my doctor is retiring, younger chap taking over his practice..I've not had a lot of problems to date so hope it's same with replacement. Can't get over Lindakay having to wait so long, tests had to show it was bone on bone.

Well I bet come the new year you will get more orders. Poor Norm, now you have to kiss it all better Barb, thankfully it didn't do damage to his eye. Sooo he is home for the rest of the day, couldn't he ask for tomorrow as well. Lol

Barb, yes having a beau can be less lonely however at times it works out to be a horrific situation..as for being lonely, rarely happens for me

Norm stay home???? No way - he took me to the doctor and then went right off to work. The cut on his head is sore but not enough to keep him home!!! LOL

Betty, a lady in another DG group says she has too much iron in her blood, and has to have some removed ever once in awhile. But she said her Dr. told her it is also causing her arthritis. I wonder if you have the same thing?
That is a lot of money for a cat dental work. Glad to hear they both found someone. I hope it works out for them.

My brother Bernie gets blood taken often for too much iron..remember a few years ago Dr told me I had too much iron, took meds, seem to help.

Had a lot more I wanted to do today but am slowly losing my surge of energy, that being said its not a wonder seeing I've been up since 2am

No snow in sight for the next week weatherman says so I can set my to do's on the back burning, always tomorrow.

Should look for Epson salts and have a hot bath, might help the pain..don't know know how you do it Lindakay as mine is minor compared to yours.

LK - I had the same thing - I was iron deficient (passed out and apparently almost died), and took Palafer (pregnancy strength) for it, and after a year I was feeling very sick. Turned out I had overdone it and had Too much iron in my blood. So one is as bad as the other.

LK .. what a crock of doo doo ..may I ask if you have groin pain .. pain in the groin is classic HIP problems pain .. all revolves around the muscles between the groin and the hip .. trust me, they're connected and have fabulously long hard to pronounce names ..
Do you have numbness in your feet/toes? That sometimes is linked to a back problem ..
So sorry you are being given the run around .. just NOT fair !!!

Beaus .. hmmm .. goods and bads .. have had a male friend get majorly ripped off and left hung out to dry in Hawaii of all places .. broke his heart ..but, have a lady friend who started seeing someone after her hubby passed .. and they clicked .. she became step mom to 2 gorgeous young ladies .. and, they blended well with her 3 sons ..
