Karen I can answer any question should you have any..they were fun to make as were the pumpkin ones
Going to have to mark down those who showed interest and get patterns done and see who needs what
We always travel stateside Xmas shopping first weekend in November and I do mailing then
It's that time right
Joyce, Kathy and Sheery were here visiting a few weeks ago, included in their projects was the light box Santa
They so enjoyed it and they were cute as a button, not painters and ended up with adorable pieces.

Will spend some time organizing this workshop this afternoon
Betty - did I miss an answer regarding the lights? Above I asked if they are white, clear or colored...Is there anything else we should be getting?
Going to get a list together re paints..pattern and mactac will be in the envelop I send
My lights are white
I so love your gardens, what I remember most while visiting them is it was As though.you were in a maze of gardens, you went from room to room, each garden more pleasing than the other.

I've worked on filing and organizing all my paperwork, was tired of finding it all over, have a bit more to do then this thread is yours..I will put what you need then each can list what is not available to them and then I will know cost ..going to USA nov13 so want to mail then
Let me go up and look what there is so far
And if any of you know of someone who might like to join in leave them some bread crumbs to follow.
Please confirm if you are participating so I can start a list
What is needed for each Santa Snowlady glass block
Glass block ( hobby lobby or Michaels I believe had these with opening for lights)
** remember to use a discount coupon when purchasing
1 - battery operated cord set or plug in set..I prefer battery so I can move it where I want
Red scarf/hat/gloves
Paint: red/black/orange/blue/ lt and dark greens (Grey will be a mixture of white/black)
Glue - for this project I use glue gun -to adhere hat to glass block
I will send in kit
- mactac for face - cut out for easy use to set in face
- face pattern
- piece of cording for hat
- 2- snowflakes that have an iron on backing, 1 for hat and 1 for gloves
- best not forget glitter
If any of you are unable to get any of the items let me know and I can ship
Please let me know by November 3 Rd so I can gather and make up packages
Only thing is, I usually either paint the glass with a glass and tile medium for better adherence of paint or I use spray frost, trying to avoid you having to purchase the spray so will try to find some I can divide in small jar..maybe you could check craft store near you and see if the carry in the craft paint section the glass and tile medium
So what I need from you is what in the section that was for you to purchase that you need me to include
I go to San Antonio in Monday. If I can't find the items I will let you know.

This is what I'm looking for
Hard to find here
Say it's available at Joann's
I coat my wine glasses before painting as well, gives some tooth to the glass
I just found you! Please count me in!
Betty, when I painted the wine glasses, I sprayed them lightly with clear acrylic and the paint adhered to them very well. Just saying that it worked for me.
Thanks, yes have done so also, even tried hairspray
Trying to find the most cost effective way seeing gals are only doing 1or 2
Just bought my things, except scarf, hat, gloves, at Hobby Lobby online. The Deco Glass boxes are on sale half price right now! Got mine for $6.00. Also bought the lights for $5.99 with 40% off! Here's the link to the deco boxes:

I'm in!! I have my glass block, will look for lights Sat. along with the spray stuff.
You mentioned hat, scarf and mittens but they are not on your list.. Is there a size to look for?
Hey Julie. Glad to have you join us.
Just need basic package. I found hat, gloves, and scarf!

I need just the stuff YOU listed Betty as the basic kit you are mailing. I can come up with glass cube etc. THANKS! Let me know the cost and I'll get a check out.
Some aren't in an area you can buy scarf, gloves and hat so if that's the case let me know and I will include
No regular $$$ store items, ours are just coming out now, imagine when Halloween is over I will be able to buy what is needed
In coastal MS, it's hard to find a scarf unless it is for decorative purposes. I want my pieces to match, so I'd prefer if you could get them for me. No wool, please, because I'm allergic. Thanks
Hmmm am sure these knitted $ store item would be more acrylic than pure wool but I don't know?? Will send it and if it bothers you then trash them
Maybe Barb would know what they are made of
Most of the things you get in a $$$ store are acrylic as it is much cheaper to produce and make. Wool is expensive and I can't imagine it being sold there. In any case, there should be a label saying what it is made from and where it was made.
I would also think it would be difficult for many in our southern states to be able to get sets of hats, scarf and mittens/gloves as there is generally no need for them...
Barb, you are so right! If i travel up north during the winter, I always have to borrow a winter coat when I get there! Won't find them in the stores here!
I just found this thread! Thanks to LK. I think I will try this one. I have a glass block without a hole. But I do have a dremel tool with a Tile/Glass bit. I may just order a block from Hobby Lobby. I will see what I can gather up here locally.
betty,
what is the cost for the package this year?
Yes what is the cost of the package? and what will be included?

From what I gather, $10 which would include gloves, scarf and hat
For those not needing the hat, gloves and scarf likely $5.00
Now if any are doing more than one which at times some do then let me know so I can send extra
Thanks Terri
Will just finish my coffee and start a new thread so I'm more organized
Sorry, I guess I overlooked the part about what was in the kit. That is what happens when you start in the middle. Lol
