Lovely blooms you're getting Debra, great pandy and Hibiscus blooms.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I agree, those are beautiful.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Helena, I love your lite blue bloom above.Do you have a name on that one.?
Beautiful Lav, Lav Chffon?

Gautier, MS

Thanks ladies. That lite blue mg Jackie I'm calling Blue tint-lav chiffon blzd. The label I had for it is Lav. chiffon blzd, but this vine has had consistent blue tint blooms which I liked a lot too.

Pretty blooms Debra, that last Hibiscus bloom looks huge.

A few blooms from yesterday and today.

A shame the bugs ate up this bloom. This is from the cross sd, Aogakiyama x choc silk x
Mauve splash and there was at least 1 cross trait;.The wide white throat area. I don;t know what might have shown up on the tips of the petals.

My first bloom from my Pandy and the white Clerodendrum that both the butterflies and hummingbirds like.
Tecoma "Bells of Fire", I planted in the ground. Will have to cover it with leaves for the winter.
My passion vine that overwintered outside without protection is had it's first bloom.
Hamelia patens is already reaching 5 ft to make hummers happy.
Little red mgs making lots of blooms.

Those are gorgeous Helena. I;m glad you;re still getting lots of pretty blooms.
I'm sending a
shot of some of my dead mg vines. These I used the systemic on. .

Pretty blooms Jackie, I think that last one must have crossed cause it has extra colors? Your blooms have been very nice.

Don't know why bugs have to munch on our pretty blooms. I'm also getting lots of damage on my other blooms that I'm not posting.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Helena, your pandy looks wonderful. Beautiful passion vine in red.
What is your 2nd pic? Oh its your Tecoma, really pretty.

I need to repot my hamelia patens, it has outgrown the pot with 6 or more
plants in the same pot.

Helena, I think you're right. Some other pollen got to your pretty cross. It did make a nice bloom though so I like it. I hand pollinated it today.

Gautier, MS

It's a shame that the systemic spray killed some of your vines.
I'm still getting mealy bugs on my vines, seems the ants have something to do with it.

Some of my vines are done, do have seeds from most of them. Some are still hanging on but I need the dirt for my next batch of seedlings.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Helena, some lind of relationship between the ants and the mealy's.
The ants harvest the sticky do secretion from the mealy's and in turn, the ants carry/tote the mealy's around if I remember correctly.

Gautier, MS

Jackie that second bloom you asked about is my Tecoma "Bells of Fire". I called it Tecoma "Fiery" before b/c I couldn't remember the name. You thought it was Tecoma Stans.
I had it in a huge big pot all winter but just last week dug a hole for it in the ground. I'm trying to reduce the plants I have so not to bring them into my greenhouse. I had too many plants last winter.

Can you see my swallow tail butterfly? Boy can they fly fast!

really wonderful blooms from you Helena and Jackie. Love the Hamela Patens. Wish I could grow it. I grew tecoma stans one year it was really pretty.
I fight mealy bugs all winter and summer.. nothing seems to stop them from showing up. I keep up ending pots to find ants have nested in them, and this am I saw a mouse run into one f the tubs, I am sure we are going to have to be extra careful with what ever is coming in this winter. *sigh*

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Debra I have tons of ants in my stacked up pots. I'm sure my cats will take care of the
mice this winter. They catch em all the time.
Helena, I can't see your Swallowtail but hopefully I will be able to b4 long.
You're Tecoma will get large in the ground. I would just mulch it real well this fall for
added protection.

Thanks Jackie and Linda.

I've found ants nesting in my soil too so I keep a tub with water and place the pot in it to drive the ants out. Also use a tray with water to place the under the pots but I don't have enough for all my pots. My cats too catch mice and moles, I find them dead in the yard every so often.

These bloomed this morning.

Aogakiyama x Mauve Splash, thanks Jackie. Love this bloom!
Peach
Fujishibori
Fuchsia

Helena, those are very pretty.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

All gorgeous Helena. Love the cross bloom. So glad I sent you a sd that was capable
of making that lovely bloom. Please hand pollinate it. Love all your blooms.
this morning but the Lav is spectacular.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I just love that first one, Helena. and the 4th one ( Fuchia?) gorgeous! They are all beautiful, but those two are my favs.
Jackie, I looked at a tomato plant we have that Joe sprayed, it is now dead.. I think you can spray at wrong times, in his case, I have no clue when he sprayed it.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Debra, those are beautiful.

Gautier, MS

Thanks ladies.

Jackie, I did hand pollinate that bloom this morning. That Lav too, hope it took and makes seeds.

Debra, pretty blooms. They all look great. Love your cucumber and peas bloom too.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Debra, I have to spray again. it has to be after the sun has gone down and then
it has all night to dry. the mg;s I killed were by using too much systemic. Although I just
used 1/2 tsp per 6 inch pot.
Your blooms are beautiful and were worth waiting for. The light blue is a beauty, I love it
and the Rosita?. Pretty pea vine.
Helena, so glad you took time to hand pollinate

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

A shame that I go out and find the bugs have eaten my new bloom I was looking forward to.
Especially since I've lost so many vines
I wanted to see this 1st one since it was a possible Aogskiyama cross.
Mauve Splash colors showing.
LYK, not a good bloom but its a nice color
Azuremores, this one tangled up with another aogakiyama cross.

Pretty blooms Jackie. It's a shame there always seems to be a bug that wants to munch on our pretty blooms.

I'm still getting some blooms that don't want to open and some there still are damaged.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sounds like Debra is still working like crazy on all those recalled cars?

I love the blooms also, very pretty.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks ladies.
Helena, love your pretty blue and the gorgeous Lav is a stunner,
Good news, the Dr didn't fuss at me today for stopping the sreroid drops. He said my eye is doing great :-)
I will not have to have the shots in my eyes since my MD is the dry kind.
The shots are for the more serious wet type.

Gautier, MS

Thanks ladies.

Happy for your good news Jackie.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Oh Jackie, that is so great! I am happy for you. :)

Funny how different cameras can get different colors.
Love the blooms and the caterpillar.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Thanks, I have had fun watching him grow.. a nice way to end the madness of work.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Absolutely beautiful blooms Debra.
I don't know one cat from another so I'll
just tolerate them all on my plants.

Gautier, MS

Beautiful blooms Debra, nice colors on all three. I don't know much about the cats either. Did see fritillaries butterflies laying eggs on my passion vine, so they will be munching them all up.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

well, we got two inches of rain this am, woke up to thunder, came home to things laid over and flattened, cut down a bunch of sunflowers and 4 o clocks. missed any mg blooms, they were all shredded from the rain. let's see what I grew this day last year..
jaimie lynn, helena's blue star, ebay buy, helena's black king?, jackie's lite blue silk.
