Tomorrow morning at 8 o'clock I will be at the hospital awaiting the arrival of my new grand daughter. DD has to have a casarean section. The baby has a short cord and they can't risk her going into labor. They also discovered during her pregnancy that she has some cysts growing. There will be another specialist there also in case additional surgery is needed. This will be her last child as she will need a hysterectomy after her body has healed from the baby.
I will be so relieved tomorrow after I know that DD and GD are both healthy and well.
Prayers needed please
I'll pray for your daughter, the baby, doctors and nurses, and you. It is just amazing what can be done medically these days. Let us know how they are as soon as possible.
prayers on their way, try not to worry. and check up on those docs, ask questions of everyone... sometimes cysts just go away, maybe they are hormone induced.... also, did you know they used to "fix" women, not that many years ago, by removing the uterus when they did the c section? a doc i worked for mentioned it to me in 87, but they had stopped doing it. (he was x ray, not obgyn)....
She'll be in my thoughts :o)
my prayers are there already. let us know she and baby are ok. janet
You and your daughter and grandchild are uppermost in my mind tonight. I wish I could hold your hand as you work through this difficult time, but remember that there are many miracles performed every day in delivery rooms all over the world, and there is every reason to be optimistic. I trust you will be on here in a few hours telling us it all went well and the baby and mother are fine and beautiful. Know your friends are with you in spirit, you are not alone. What a blessing, a new grandchild!
(((((snowhermit & family)))))you will be in my prayers. A new little one, what a happy day! Please let us know something as soon as you can, we will all be watching and waiting.
Thoughts and prayers are coming from this way as well.
Do keep us informed.
Thanks everyone. It's so good to know I'm not alone. Wish I could take you all with me tomorrow as I will be waiting alone. DH can't get the day off work and SIL will be in with his wife. Arlene, DD and her husband wanted the hysterctomy done at the same time as the c-section so she would not have to have surgery twice but they won't do it. They even asked the specialist for a second opinion and he also said she will need to heal before they would do it.Too much trauma and swelling from the birth to safely do the hysterectomy.I will post as soon as I get home but I'm not sure when that will be as I will wait until she is out of recovery and spend a little time with my new GD.

Terry, i had 2 sections, nothing to it...i am sure they will take good care of baby and mom, let us know. after the lst one it took me a day to figure out, so sore, i got in position for pain shot myself, then when it took effect i would get up and walk to work out soreness, helped me get well quicker. with my 2nd doc told me if i felt i needed a shot and the nurses wouldn't give to me, to tell them to call him...(didn't have to).... you must live near them? you will be having such fun....
My DD had to have a c-section and I cried like a baby until they brought out 'Joshua' and he was of coarse naked and sprayed everyone as he screamed and Doc said 'well his plumbing is working fine'...I was crying and laughing at the same time! Your DD and baby will do fine with all the prayers you will get from all your friends...
God Bless you all!
Rebecca

Hi snowhermit...just read the prayer request. Im too late to pray for the delivery...but can pray that the mom and baby are in good health, and peacefully resting together at the present moment.
Anyone heard from Snowhermit yet? The family is in our thoughts. :)
Sending prayers and restful feelings your way.
Many prayers thoughts and hugs to you and your family, Snowhermit! I know your DD will be so glad to know you're there for her. My mom wasn't able to be with me when I gave birth to our three kids, and I really wish I could have shared that with her - it would have meant a lot to both of us.
I had cysts with my DD (third and last child), and they apparently reduced on their own, so there is hope that it will happen with your DD as well.
And Jack (Prain) - may I offer my congratulations on the new addition to your family? That's wonderful news!!!!!
