Is there a grace period given to new potential members? Kinda like to give them a taste of how great DG is?
You know, if they are surfing around the web and see a link to DG on another site and decide to check it out, do they have access to the subscribed parts on a trial basis?
I was just curious. It may be a way to get more people to subscribe if they are given a "freebie" and then they get hooked and cant live without it : )

Question about membership
I agree, MsJen.....say with maybe a guest signin book, where they could sign in a maximum of 3 times before they would have to subscribe for the benefits! I think you're on to something there!

I agree, how about the 2 weeks we were given? I gave one of the fellows at the post office 2 websites to check, he is a gardener--but had to tell him about the cost. It would be nice if newbies could get to know us a bit.
I may be mistaken, so please do not quote me on this. I thought that there was a 2 week grace period for any new ones coming in, just to check things out and then after that there was the subscription fee if they wanted to stay.
i'm not sure either way coco, i dont remember it being discussed before, but i do miss alot.

okay, just logged out and went looking. it looks like if you are just accesing daves, it says membership is free, but there is a fee to participate in discussions, etc.
