I guess I have a "problem".

I noticed sometime last week that the discussions under the articles were no longer visible. In trying to figure this out, I noticed NoScript was blocking Disqus. I enabled that enough to see if that was the trouble. It was. I disabled Disqus. We use various tools for privacy and security reasons.

Will this third-party commenting and profile system move over to the forums? Personally, I hope my comments and profile stay within the Dave's Garden community.

I know we've discussed this at the helpdesk, but for the benefit of others who may be wondering the same thing: Disquis is only for the article comments, as a means of making it easier for all readers to comment on them without having to login here at DG (non-member comments are reviewed for spam). To the best of my knowledge, we have no intention of using it elsewhere on the site.
