We're about to deploy a fix that will address these issues (along with a few other admin/editor issues):
1. "Edit your comment" on PlantFiles, BugFiles and BirdFiles shows a MySQL error.
2. Backslash is displayed is displayed on dmail content with quotes and apostrophes.
3. Dmail "Mark as Unread" link not working.
4. Searching for birds with apostrophes or quotes takes to MYSQL error.
5. Members are not able to edit their own PF entries.
I will post here when it's been deployed, and we hope it slides in without any hitches or glitches.
Fixes coming ASAP today
We've deployed these changes, so please let us know if these features work properly now, or if you spot anything amiss.
Don't know if this applies but all of a sudden today I am getting quotes on threads and pop in ads when ever I change page. Don't like either.
Can you give me an example of a thread where you are seeing quotes? The popup ads are almost certainly not from here, as you have all ads turned off and we don't - as a rule - do popups.
Ok on the pop ups. Quotes are in Pets. How Was Your Day for sure.
Parking Lot/ Coffee
Seems to be everywhere I go.

Yes have never been there before.
We've had them for a long time. Maybe you just didn't see them? To create a quote box, you click on the "quote" link beneath someone's name next to their post.
I still can't edit my PF descriptions
I tried to substitute Skilpad-Kammieskroon for Nieuwoudtville on http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/imageedit.php?imageid=380400
but after I make the change and hit submit, the same page comes up to make the change with nothing fixed.
Maybe you did not fix this problem yet as it is not editing a comment but the caption.

Kell, I made them aware of the outstanding problem and they were still working on it this evening. Your best bet is to use the PF report-an error if you have any others that need editing until I report back to you that they've fixed it.
I mean the words that are popping up in green. Sorry. It is very distracting and just not right to look at.
That is most definitely not coming from us; we don't do contextual in-text advertising. Please run a malware and virus scan.
Edited to clarify. The term I was reaching for was in-text advertising, not contextual. If you hover over one of those, you should be able to identify what advertising network has been inserted in your settings, and that will make it easier to target and remove it.

Okay! Thank You.
I had the same problem. I didn't notice it here, but on other websites. I ran malwarebytes and it found "vxlsnyaiet32.exe" AKA "SupraSavings". When I did a search for that I found a blog with instructions on how to remove it (below.) I went ahead and purchased malwarebytes, though, and it removed it completely.

Another solution would be to get a service contract with Geek Squad,
owned by Best Buy.
They will fix anything 24-7 on up to three devices for a year, as often
as you need them. a lifesaver !
I am currently unable to edit my only post on Communities > Forums > Mid-Atlantic Gardening > Have and Want Lists "Only" Ric & Holly's Swap
The problem is intermittent. I know other people have had the same problem on and off.
Happy, everyone has a certain number of edits available to them in a 24-hour period. Assuming you haven't exhausted those (if memory serves it's something like 12 edits available), then it sounds like something is sticking in your browser settings. That's especially true if you can see and use the edit button on other posts you've made elsewhere.
I'm not the only person having the problem, and we have it only on one particular thread. It is not a case of multiple daily edits, and is not likely the case of browser settings (since many of us have had the same problem). What happens is that when I hit "edit", the edit window opens completely empty. The work-around is to (1) copy the post before editing it, (2) hit edit, which results in the empty window opening, (3) paste the post back into the empty window, and (4) then edit it.
Someone told he had been told it had to do with a conflict involving apostrophes.
I plan on putting all of my individual remaining Journal issues in a single file and sending via DMail, as you requested, but I noticed a new one yesterday which may be related to happy_macomb's problem.
The quotes (both single and double) issue has been mostly fixed, but I noticed a problem while trying a Journal entry's "Initial Comments" field. The field came up blank. It appears that a quote character contained within parenthesis is the cause.
Original "Initial Comments" (caused blank field when I selected "Edit Item"):
CV Farmer's Market
Large (leaf 81-144 square inches; plant 18”-28” tall)
Spacing: 36-48 in. (90-120 cm)
I tried various modifications to the original text and found that removing the quote character from within the parenthesis worked:
CV Farmer's Market
Height: 18"-28" (leaf 81-144 square inches)
Spacing: 36"-48" (90-120 cm)
And, I just tried editing my above post and got a blank edit box.
Okay, that was going to be my next question, if the thread posts had apostrophes. We have our weekly call today and I'll let our techs know that there are still some pockets where they are problematic.
