Gautier, MS

Thanks ladies.

Beautiful Tai Aki bloom and I love your lite blue tie dye.

Jackie, The first bloom is of China doll, do you know if China doll is on the Plant files? I'd like to compare blooms. I was thinking that maybe the 2nd bloom is a no Mai cross.
The Temptest is from the day before on my previous post, I untangled it from the other vines.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

gorgeous blooms, my fellow morning glory lovers. You all made the end of my horrible day beautiful.
there is the largest bud on the arbor tonight, can't wait to see it. Twined and rewound the PPV on the gate fence corner tonight, it rained while I slept thru it and everything decided to go wild today.
Cya in the am..

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Helena, I looked for a pic of 'China Doll in the Plant files, couldn't find it but I didn't have a lot of time to search.
China Doll blooms can be very variable, one of the things I love about it.

Looking forward to your PPV bloom Debra.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone!

Debra, sure hope you have a better day today!

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie for the info on CD. I like the blooms I'm getting so far.

Jackie, Gorgeous blooms. I love them all, your Trilobed speckled is special.

Linda, my clitoria had it's third bloom today, I missed seeing the first. It looks like it's taking off. I am sure it will set seeds. When I grew the single clitoria, I did get seeds from it. Hopefully I'll have some to share.
Saw my neighbor 3 streets up winding vines on 3 of his pine trees. Had to find out what it was, when I went by closer could see that they were cypress vines for the hummingbirds. Never saw anyone do that before and thought it was neat. He also has some growing on his side chain link fence.
Here is my first Brazilian Biquinho pepper, biquinho is a pacifier (little paci).
And my 2 repeat mgs.

Jackie I love your purps and am glad we get to enjoy their uniqueness, well, that might not be spelled right, but purps seem to have personalities when you grow them year after year..I have seen that draping method using chines bean hiyacynth, and this year n my cedar I have of all things a violet growing out of its trunk about my height up, and a virgina creeper out of no where, and I have added the old english ivy that bloomed for us, and then we tor it down, I thought I could get blooms soon since I took the top cuttings, and they are no where nears blooming. The back elm tree has red honey suckle, and English Ivy on the front and wisteria on the back.I have planted mgs there but nothing keeps going so far.. finally got the dog run bird feeder corner vined up with honeysuckle
( blanch sandman) mgs, and tall sunflowers are all tied up in that mess. My best living medium to grow morning glory's are my sunflowers.. this type sunflower gets huge, tall and glorious, wish I could color code one to look like my foot ball team colors..last year I had them arched with glories, using the wool to bend and tie them together.. joe clean out the bean patch so now my pots of mgs can finally to to their growing areas , I just need more poles..

these were from this morning, i had three wonderful hours to myself for a change out there.. it has been raining here the last 4 days of intermittent nice gentle rains, some hard at times, but no big deal..so happy I got to take all these pictures.. I love my old camera, but I am still learning how to use it..

I have tried the blue clit pea but I can't seem to get the sweet peas to hang in there, they fight for their space so I am moving some to the yard fences..I have to cut back the dog run vines, they fight all summer for their space.. weaving their runners sneaking in places they hide to root..rogue morning glory's get yanked, some i tear out cussing, that come up voluntarily, but now I know if I just pull the offending root it will stay out.. the pink purps are really aggressive.. ugh.
here is a couple sunflowers in the north fence area.. Joe and I cut back the shrubs, got the trees out of the fence line as best we could, and pulled about a half mile of pink and blue purps of the fence behind everything.. I am trying to just have one plant of each glory.. LOL this pic is looking north on the west end of the yard this am 2nd pic is the south fence middle area..here is the tree on the north fence and it is the plant that is on the east right of the first pic..here are the sunflower walls on the north end of the patio. and here is a closer look, there are glory's up these, the orange noah is just starting to bloom. it is almost time to arch these to keep them out of the electric lines above on this side.

Helena, drop dead gorgeous blooms on China Doll
I love the 3rd bloom too with the blue touches. Trying to figure out which mg it is.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Linda, Debra and Jackie.

That 3rd bloom label says tempest but could be a cross. I like it too, some blooms show a soft pale lavender color.

China Doll is back to light blooms again. I need to tag that other one.
