LOL I hear ya, ya know I wear these big ole glasses as I am so blind, but with my flashlight and the backyard light on, it is calming for me..

Beautiful Blooms Jackie. I enjoyed seeing everyone of them.

Love your Pep hige too Debra. Enjoyed going through your pretty garden too seeing all your pretty plants.

I don't have any nice blooms today. But did take pictures of the wild mg growing on fence 2 towns away. My new Nicotiana blooms, waiting to see if my 2 hummers find them. So far I've only seen them go to red flowers and the feeder.

WOW! Love all the blooms! So pretty!

Love the wild MG you have, mine has a heart shaped leaf with light purple blooms, wanna trade seeds? :) Do you know its name?

(Caitlin) Fresno, CA(Zone 9b)

YAY Joe, thanks for all the in-the-garden pics. So inspiring! =)

Yesterday I unwrapped and re-wrapped my MG down the trellis, so I'll post a few pics once it gets used to it. =)

Debra, the wild purple blooms are Ipomoea Cordatotriloba. I will try to check on seeds in couple of weeks. I'm sure it will have plenty. It looks quite showy right now.

I keep telling myself to go out and get some seedlings potted up. It has been really nice early in the morning. Heating up by noon.

On my computer, my post from last night is gone where I asked Debra if a bloom was a Joyce Cobb and she answered yes. Both posts now missing. Whats up ???

Debra, I see our missing posts have returned now.

Helena, the Cardatotriloba is beautiful. Its wonderful temp wise here Helena temps just'79 today for a high, very unusual. I'm going to have to make myself go out and pot up my mg;s in the foam cups. They're past ready for their final pots.

ohhhh Jackie, that is gorgeous.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I agree, that is so pretty!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Debra and Linda. That was my no Mai bloom yesterday

Gautier, MS

Jackie, gorgeous Blue silk, tie dye and lite Pres Bush and your no Mai has nice color to it too.

Debra, I think the cordatotriloba has different variations to it. I found them growing in different locations here where I live. Though lately I haven't gone out looking for them, seems that they get mowed down and disappear for awhile.

Didn't go out early today to take pics but here is a different color of the same bloom from my little peach mg that looks more orange than ever. My pink salvia and mauve splash starting to close.

Gosh, I agree, that pink slavia is awsome. does it come back for you every year, Helena?
as usual Jackie, your blooms are wonderful, and that hibiscus is really something. Does it have a cool name?

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Debra, Different sellers give it different names in order to increase their sales.
Seems like I've seen this one in the catalogs as Hibiscus Turn of the Century.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Love those blooms Jackie, that 2nd one is really pretty.

(Caitlin) Fresno, CA(Zone 9b)

Joeswife, I love the fourth one in your post on the 30th, with the petals wrapped back so that it looks pentagon shaped with purple/pink that fades into a white throat. Is there a name for that one? It keeps stopping me in my tracks as I scroll through...=)

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Hi Wifey, I call it Rebecca, others call it Joyce Cobb.. the blue version could be JC, but am sure the red version of it is Rebecca..

Lovely blooms Debra.

I am up again. *sigh* Thanks, Jackie, I am still waiting for three of these to bloom, these photos are pics from last year. They are a good example of the blooms, I think, of all the purps I am growing. I sprayed all the patio except for one spot on the arbor where my baby mantis is. And then the front gardens, and the porch gardens. I mixed some dog flea dip ( walmart, pyrthins 99%) with some thuracide ( will only kill worms) and some miticide along with a light dose of plant food and a drop of dawn dish soap with water. I make it by the pitcher and fill all these huge spray bottles. I enjoy it on a still night with a gentle breeze blowing opposite of me. Snipped some leaders off of the large purple with white and they are doing great in the fish filter down stairs. I root most my stuff in that fish filter. I am so glad July has said goodbye, it was a horrible tragic month. Morining glorys and sunflowers lift my spirit.
the elderberry shrubs are heavy with a lot of fruit this year, I bet I only see a few, since the squirrels ate all but one pear this year. Gosh I just want to take the flashlight and go see how many buds I have to be open in the am. 1.Last lilly open..2. Monarda almost done 3. weird 4 o clock 4. Liatris
5. an unidentified bloom from the past three years..

Love all of your blooms, very nice 4 o'clock. The mg almost looks like a Count Drac cross
or a Blue LYK bloom. What do the lvs look like on your uknown mg? Is it a small bloom?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Love all the blooms your posting!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

I'm pretty sure I had a blue bloom very similar to yours Debra. It might even be from Dany's sds
he shared with us. Its a beauty whatever it is
