Can PlantFiles "Lists of Plants" be included in Bookmarks?

Algonquin, IL(Zone 5a)

Hi,
I know when we go into a specific PlantFiles page we can add it to our bookmarks. Can it be set up to add a PlantFiles page with a "list of plants" to our bookmarks so we don't have to continually search for that page?

For example: I'm becoming more and more interested in Milkweeds. There's a list of Milkweeds 3-pages long in PlantFiles that I would love to have quick access to for reference. Here is the link:

http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/adv_search.php?searcher%5Bcommon%5D=milkweed&searcher%5Bfamily%5D=&searcher%5Bgenus%5D=&searcher%5Bspecies%5D=&searcher%5Bcultivar%5D=&searcher%5Bhybridizer%5D=&searcher%5Bgrex%5D=&search_prefs%5Bblank_cultivar%5D=&search_prefs%5Bsort_by%5D=rating&images_prefs=both&Search=Search

Is there any way to set it up with the bookmark symbol so it can be added to my bookmarks? I wonder if other members would be interested in this?

We can ask, but to be honest, I'm not sure if there's a technical limitation that would prevent search results from being bookmark-able, or not.

Thanks, Terry! I know it's a lot to ask. If it can't be done, I can probably just save it on my computer. I'm just thrilled that members have the ability to post our crazy requests. Just one more thing that makes DG unique. :o)

Saving searches is a good idea I hadn't thought about before. I quite often have Dave's Garden open in 2 tabs of my browser when I'm looking up information to add to notes in my entries for plants in my Journal. It would be easy to add a Journal category named "Searches", then add entries like "Milkweed" in the new category. In the second browser tab you can do the search, then just copy/paste the URL to the "Initial comments" of the Milkweed entry in the Journal open in the first tab.

SallieKr - Thanks for the suggestion! It sounds a little complicated, but probably that's because I've never started a DG Journal. I guess I'll have to play around with it a bit one of these days.

Oh, you REALLY need a journal, or you could use the "Blog" feature- but I just discovered that this year, so I'm not as familiar with it. Unfortunately, the journal has a few problems lately, so you might want to wait awhile before starting one. It's not really complicated at all. Under "Communities", select "My Journal", then create a new journal or just use the "Default" one. It's empty, so you'd probably want to create some categories. If you just want to use it for searches, I'd create categories like "Perennials", "Annuals", "House Plants", etc. Then you can create sub-categories if you want, like "Full Sun", or whatever you need. I haven't really had time to work on saving searches yet, but I created a category for Searches under my "Misc/Info" category and saved a Hosta search in the Hosta sub category. Cool! One of the journal problems I mentioned, though, has to do with creating a new entry in a category. When you click "Submit", then "Go to the item", the Category field is blank. I'm getting around this by immediately selecting "Move this item to another category".
