ZIPs just aren't zippy...

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Forgive the pun and thank you for bearing with us on this long overdue tech fix. I'm going to point all the stray threads on this subject here, so we can keep everything in one place.

The ZIP codes were on our agenda for today's conference call. The tech team has found and is testing a new/improved database that should *fingers crossed* fix the problems. As soon as they're done testing it and have it uploaded, you'll hear us shouting it from the rooftops.

It does seem easy, doesn't it? But when you think about how many ZIPs there are, and then factor in the thousands of changes each year, it becomes more nightmarish than probably any of us realize: http://www.zip-codes.com/zip-code-statistics.asp

We don't have a date for the changes yet...sorry.

As of yesterday, we have moved to a new source for our ZIPs so if yours is still off, let me know. We're hopeful this database is more accurate than the old one (from spot-checking it seems to be.)

I have tried out the new system with 8 "problem" zips that

Thanks a million !
