Sandy, I would like some seeds for the Christmas senna, the pokeweed and the Cherokee Bean please. what can I get for you?
Also, is my wild poinsettia you gave me an annual or does it go dormant in the winter or did I kill it?
This message was edited Mar 11, 2014 12:42 AM
steadycam3 I forgot to list but I have several Pokeweed coming back in pots so I will put your name on one of them. And Christmas senna, the pokeweed and the Cherokee Bean seeds I have for you.
Summer Pointsettia usually reseed easily so you should have plenty. But I am sure there are seedlings popping now or very soon I will dig for you and I will bring you some seed also to be sure you have some.
Did you tell me you have a Giant Turks cap in a pot I could have? Do you want to bring it or would you like us to pick it up?
Maybe a few coleus and a white orchid tree seedling :)
I am hoping anyone who wants something will ask as I am not bringing everything I listed and will only dig or take cuttings of what is ask for. It would be a huge job to try to bring a little of each.
Thanks
Sandy
Marty, can I have a couple magenta irises?
Cindy, could I have some purple mallow?
Sandy, you should just start your own nursery!!
I'll be listing later.
Janet
I have been collecting plants for a couple years to take to a flea market and this winter was so hard I lost almost all. I have decided that is not what I want to do. :( When I would see a plant in abundance my friend and I would go dig them. But really have decided it is too hard as I lost several hundred plants I have dug from friends and neighbors. Now I will continue to collect seeds and give cuttings away but no more collecting to sell. It is too hard of work to have it all freeze.
That is why I have been collecting so many plants don't know how many if any survived of my own. I will be cutting back all of my Oleanders so cuttings will go to the dump unless someone wants some. And my plants are huge.
As I said above I don't have to have anything in return. :)
Yes, Joy to the irises.
Looks like only a few gonna attend. It will be great no matter how many :)
My new job isnt accomodating and I feel they really wish I would move out of Texas, one year before I crack here is all I need. I will be thinkin at ya'll. Am sittin in Huntsville, Tx now waiting to finish Monday at noon and go home. Joy what is this? Can you see enough to id? This is where I know the wild larkspur grows and will check the field tomoro
The little bit I can bring.... :(
HAVES: (so far)
Oenithera triloba plants: Evening primrose http://www.wildflower.org/plants/result.php?id_plant=OETR2 I will dig up a few days prior to make sure they survive.
Four Nerve Daisy plants http://www.wildflower.org/plants/result.php?id_plant=TESC2 just coming up not really blooming yet.
ADDED
I also have a couple of Pregnant Onion offshoots. One is fairly established. I need to repot the whole thing so this would be a great excuse to do so. :)
I haven't seen much of my wildflower population here yet. I need to do some walking around to see what else I can find in the greenbelt. Usually can find TONS of monarda seed.

Does anyone want sunflower volunteers? They are from seed that is solid black, no stripes. The birds have given me many this year and I have no place to plant them. The neighbor feeds the birds but they sit on my fence to eat. They drop some.
Also, does anyone have goatweed otherwise known as wooly croton? I'd like some volunteers or seeds or both Yes, it's an invasive weed.
I would love 2 of the sunflowers Marty.
I have atleast 1 snakeroot in a pot returning. Also some variegated airplane plant.
Sandy, my snakeroot is looking good!
Goat weed is extremely invasive and ugly as sin. It isn't an early spring plant, it starts to grow when the temps rise and the rain stops. It is a rancher's nightmare because it is poisonous to animals although they don't eat it around here. I will gladly get you some later this spring/summer. We constantly fight to eradicate it and have yet to be successful.
Thanks, Joy. I know you must think Im loonie, but it's the butterflies, you know.
Marty that is great that your snakeroot is doing so good.
Jpy can I not interest you in anything I have????
I would love to find some pots anyone isn't going to reuse. I am especially looking for 3 gallon and up but would take any anyone might be wanting to get rid of.
I'll look around the back, I probably have some you are welcome to if the dogs haven't turned them all into chew toys.
I potted up a couple of the Caroliniana anemone that Kitt got identified if anyone wants them.
Sandy could you bring me some Crocosmia please.
Joy I sure can. :) Can I have 1 of the Caroliniana anemone please.
I am bringing Joy some paper shell pecans I sold her on ATP for 3.50 a lb. Can't sell them here but you can dmail me for the info
Sandy if I remember I will bring pots!
I would love some of the lycoris bulbs! I need more color in front of the house.
Layering, one mustang vine. We will see how it goes, did finally get it closer to the ground.
Petunias- deer resistant actually. Petunia multiflora is the one that was favored from the 1830's, by 1870 new hybrids were coming thru...parkseeds carries vining and bush types. both grandiflora and multiflora, but so many people are more into the color than the aroma...
I will bring Purple Mallow for Sandy & Joy!
ILOVEJESUS (Sandy) I would love some Pink Rain Lilies & Parrot Lilies please.
We can peruse my greenhouse when y'all get here for plants. I have several varieties of rain lilies as well as several amaryllis pups growing.
I am hoping my bunny grass will be blooming by next weekend, it is so cute.
We picked up some red onion and yellow 1015 onion starts at Lowe's and will have 20 of each if anyone wants some.
Cindy, Is Texas sensitive plant the same as Partridge Pea? If so I would like some seeds please.
Here is the sensitive plant http://www.swagbucks.com/?t=i&p=1&b=0&f=0&sef=0&q=sensitive+plant
and Partridge Pea http://www.swagbucks.com/?t=i&p=1&b=0&f=0&sef=1&q=Partridge+Pea
as far as I can tell
Sandy, the photo link you sent for sensitive plant has pink blooms and has little stickers on it. Her post says it has yellow flowers. Another name for partridge pea is sensitive pea.
Chamaecrista nictitans Partridge pea can get 5' tall at least- used for deer forage, sensitive plant mimosa strugillosa is only one of many named sensitive plant.
Yes it is the same as far as I know as both have yellow flowers, however I think mine didn't have as much green leaves..I will bring some seeds anyway, It did get to about 4 ft high & about 3 ft wide! How I got mine was it was a "straggler" when I planted the mallow, which I bought from Calloway's & all of a sudden it was there!!! hahahaha
Thanks, Cindy. Can I bring you something?
After looking at the links (thank you very much btw!) my seeds are the sensitive plant with tiny white flowers. Still an impressive plant!
Steadycam..I will take a few firespike plants if you have any left. Thanks!
David and I had the most wonderful time today.....ONCE WE GOT THERE *Chuckle*
I enjoyed all the chatting and trading. We did get stuck in a wreck on I-10 and David was an hour late for work but all was well.
Really sorry you had to use your hands to eat but the stuff is there for maybe the next 2 times :)
