Today's Bloom has no description or author on the home page

I wonder why some plant's foliage is featured as Today's Bloom when there aren't any blooms to speak of. Kind of weird like today's picture of Copperleaf has a miniscule bloom showing peeking out of the multiple leaves. Just saying. Should it be Today's Bloom or Foliage instead.

Also why is Today's Bloom the only side-article that has no description or author with the thumbprint of the flower/plant leaf? The Fun Random (bug, bird, plant, and article) all have a description and the author in the box with the picture.

The BOTD is not always a bloom, that's true - maybe we should call it the plant-of-the-day :-) As a foliage lover, I never mind when we feature a foliage plant.

I guess I never noticed it didn't have a title or info with it; my guess is it that it was first, and for whatever reason, we didn't go back and make it more like the others when we introduced them.

Yes I agree with the foliage is often prettier than some blooms but it is misleading to call it a bloom.

I guess where I got clued in about missing a description and an author is there is always someone who will add a new thread to say what it is and who's picture it is which is redundant since clicking on the photo will tell you the same thing plus show the original photo.
