You asked for it, and we listened. The Ask-a-Gardener forum is now an entryway for new members (free or subscribing) to ask their toughest gardening questions, and you - our DG subscribers - can answer them directly.

Since this forum is first on the list, it is often a first stop for spammers, so if you spot anything that smells fishy, please don't respond on the thread, but send us a link via the Contact Us link at the bottom of any page of the site.

We'll take a look and keep the spam swept out as promptly as humanly possible.

This tweak is one of several you may spot between now and early next month. We'll be making a few adjustments to the forum lineup, shelving a few that have had time to hit their stride, but never did. And we will be opening up a few forums to non-subscribers - no worries; your most favorite "hangout" spots will remain subscribers-only :-)

We may also change the structure of this forum to be a place for us to post site-wide news and announcements (which you'll be able to discuss as always), but steer your questions and suggestions to us at the helpdesk via the Contact Us link instead of posting them here.

Please DO NOT kill "Poetry on the Pile" in the Soil and Composting Forum.

Too many "gems" on it.....I have tried hard to keep it going......

Or--give me early warning so I can c/p the poems and ditties on it.
They are all treasures.

We're asking for it to be added. What I'd like even more is for specific posts to be reportable - just like you have links to edit (your own), expand/isolate by clicking on the link that reads "Post #xxxxxxxx", or quote, it would be nice to have "flag" or "report as spam" a link option.
