Dave: Time Stamp

Dave,
Would you consider adding the year to your timestamp?

In the journals, I always include the dates with every entry and item shown. Ditto the trade lists (I think).

The DG newsletter that gets E-mailed also includes the year.

But, I suspect you mean to address the forums, in specific, yes?

In fact, as DG enters into its 3rd calendar year, it's probably going to be prudent to go ahead and do this.

I'll add years to the forums. Anywhere else you had in mind?

Just the forums.

It didn't occur to me until I went back to view a few old threads, I couldn't figure out if some of the posts were made this year or last year.

Thanks.

Done. The threads now show the year.

However, after careful examination of the forums and homepage, I decided to leave off the year there, because of several reasons:

1) Adding the year to the homepage, forum index, or thread index takes up a lot of real estate, which I believe is unnecessary because:

2) When you are looking at the homepage or forum/thread indeces, you will notice that the threads or forums are all updated within the past couple days. This makes the year completely unnecessary, because they are all in the current year (right now, 2001).

Ergo, when you go into an actual thread, at that point you see the year.

Thoughts? Do you have any counter points?

You got it covered! Thanks!

Good deal!
