Well it's that time of Year, when it's time to Get the Dreaded Task done, so here's my start
Elizabeth
Digging & Potting up Brugmansia's
How cold is it there at night now? I'm wondering if winter is coming early, all the barnswallows have grouped together and seem like they are getting ready to leave.
You have a greenhouse, I envy you.. The bunny gets to sty there? How neat is that? Good luck with the digging. Did you leave a rootball on that one? That's a heck of a great idea.
Antoinette
right now it's really Hot, but as we get close to Halloween, that could change fast, I want the Brugs to get used to their new home's before I have to take them in. I love those Bunny's they like to snuggle under my chin, when I hold them. I will post Pic's of that Monster Brug when I dig it up. I have to have it in a Big Pot. the Flower's in the Pot, the Third Pic, is Clippings Stuck in dirt.
That GH only gets used at the beginning & the end of the seasons
Elizabeth
I have a little plastic Green house, but it does pretty good. Those bunnys are really growing.
elizabeth, do you put the pots inside another pot. Does it catch the water for you???I got pictures of blooms this morning. I'll put them on another thread if you want.

Girl you can post those Pic's here, Everyone Loves Pic's me included, Yes I put the potted Brugs in another pot with water in it, so they don't go through so much shock, they're just in there until they're not wilting anymore, I know now why they didn't do as good this year, well this morning I dragged the water hose out, I thought I had watered really well, but when I was digging them out they were day as a Bone, next year, I will bring the drip hose out, it must be all the clay in the soil.
they're nothing wrong with the plastic GH if it works for you.
one of my other Friend, used PVC for her GH, it worked Great, didn't cost as much as my GH, but I got a deal on mine. Thank you for posting the link
Big Hugs
Elizabeth

Oh, that is something , I have several toads and occasionally one follows me all over the yard. They like company or are curios.

looking around for food.

Elizabeth
Gourd, can't have a toad and let Abigail see him. Poor toad will be killed. first time I saw her do it I was shocked. so if i see a toad, I sure don't let her know. I love my toads....
elizabeth, What Monster did you get out????
Hugs and nuzzles..
Charleen, Charley and Abigail....
Charleen
That Monster had the String, so the Tag must still be in the Dirt, I will look for it Today,
I got at least 4 more dug out yesterday, I have to count to see how many I have left, I did find Rosalla
that still had the Tag.
Love & Hugs to you & the Babies
Antoinette
Very Pretty, I Love the Tiles you have there, I also Love Toads, I haven't seen any here, Just Peach eating Squirrels
Elizabeth
Abigail may be afraid of the toads. Or knows that they are poisionous..
I've been using metal tags that you can emboss , they never fade or erase. You can hang them or just tuck one in the pot. Or make butterfly cutouts and emboss the names on those and use as tags.
I've had company for three days so I was MIA.. That is Saltillo tile and some blue tiles made by a .DGer here.. She sold them on the market place a couple of years ago.
Been dry here. Had to water part of my brugs. the tough ones , out in ground I haven't watered. They look droopy but bounce back in afternoon.
when I got back from taking Robert to work this morning (I needed car) The scent in the air was fantastic. The brugs were scenting up the air. Was so great. but I still don't like getting up early....
This afternoon I go get him.....
Elizabeth and Gourd, hope you both have great day.....

Thank ou for the cuttings,,I am going to have a good year next year. I just have to figure out how to keep all the cuttings alive.

Elizabeth
Elizabeth, I'm sure it will be pretty....
Will be looking for Karoline....
Critters and blooms.
Plumeria, Morning glory. Chihuahuas on brug path, Brugs and Seedpods on Misty Pink....
When do you pick off your seed pods Elizabeth??? will they ripen if you take them off before they turn brown???
Charleen
Charleen
Just Beautiful, believe it or not I have never had a Seed Pod, Girl you let them Ripen on the Brug
I suppose you can just let it dry, off the Brug. I have Seedling from other people that I am growing them out for them, so they can see how they do in different Growing Zones.
Well I am down to 19 Brugs then I am done, Yippee
Here's Karoline, This Evening
Hugs to you & the Furry Family
Elizabeth
Oh man we have some remodeling of both bathrooms, kitchen and dining room.. Work starts this Monday .. I hope that everything gets done by Thanksgiving, if not, then hopefully by Christmas.
I have all my cuttings to keep me occupied... Thank you Elizabeth, I love those great cuttings you sent me. I set up a heat mat and two tables to hold the cuttings and a few other plants. I am going crazy starting a new plant collection, elephant ears, I love them. So far I've acquired about ten types, some from a friend from here, some I purchased and I got three philos, Pink Princess, tree philo, and one more that I can't remember right now. Next,.... Ill get a banana.
Charlene, I am going to make a pathway like yours next spring, I can picture what I want. I just need to amend the soil in that area. Now to keep my cuttings alive this winter.
Elizabeth, the plants brought indoors bloom for you or do they go dormant at some point. I'm going to bring every single one in for the winter. Maybe leave only one or two if I have a duplicate. I can store at least five large pots behind our couch, above that area we have a sky light, so maybe they will bloom during winter.
Beautiful flowers, both of you.
A.
Elizabeth I think I know what my mystery brug is. Dola.. I looked it up and I remember George had given me one. What do you think? there are so many pinks, it is hard to keep up with all of them....
going thru a dry spell here and my in ground planted bugs are showing yellowing of the leaves and I feel so guilty not watering them but I need the water for my wimpier brugs.
Gourd, you and Elizabeth gonna get tired of those construction but it will be so worth it...
Love and nuzzles
Charleen and critters
Antoinette
I have had a Few Brugs Bloom in the Basement, as they do I post Pic's of them here, they really don't make good Houseplants, because of the Aphids, those little Cridders so Love Brugs in winter
But a Good thing to spray them with is Murphy's Oil Soap.
I Just Know that Next Spring you'll have Blooms. my Brugs Go Semi Dormant
Elizabeth
Charleen
Just So Pretty, That Mystery Brug, will have to Wait Till Next Spring to Bloom, I took a lot of the Top off of it, about three feet off of 5 Branches, it is Truly a Standard Now.
Love & Hugs
Elizabeth
You scalped it! I do that too...Elizabeth. I'm going to do it this year for sure. Some of my plants have almost reached "The Outer Limits" they are so tall. Serendipity has and she is totally confined in a pot...I love this brug tho.... Moonlight Angel is blooming and I noticed seedpods on her. My Bush morning Glory is in a container and is looking so pretty this morning.
You all have a great day.
Love and Nuzzles
Charleen and Charley
Charleen
Just Beautiful, Yes I scalped it, but think of it next year, with a Beautiful Canopy, I Love morning Glory's, but not when their Not going up your Siding, I just clipped a Big one down.
Next year there will be a lot of mine left in pots, it will be so much easier, with Only me doing the Digging, you live & Learn.
I have an idea, you get a panel Truck, Take a road trip, you'll have a much bigger Brug Forest
Hugs & Love to you & your Babies
Elizabeth
This is a bush morning glory. No fences for it. Have it in a pot so it shouldn't get Humongeous either. so all is well with this one.
Elizabeth, robert would have a fit if I brought all those plants home but it sure is tempting....
Charleen
Charleen
