iPhone browsing problems

When browsing on the iPhone, the right side of the screen is cut off. Is there a way to work around this issue? Is a fix coming soon?

1. Which iPhone are you using?

2. Was it doing this prior to the updates we made several weeks ago?

3. Is it every page and feature, or just some? If it's just some, can you send me links to some examples?

1. I'm using iPhone 4S with the standard Safari browser that came with the phone.

2. It was not doing this prior to the updates.

3. I just went through various parts of the website, and it's only certain Dmail pages that are cut off on the right side.

Thank you!

Okay, so just to be clear, ONLY some dmails are cutting off. Not PlantFiles, not Garden Watchdog, not forums, and not all dmails. Is that correct? It definitely helps us identify the problem when we know what to look for.

Yes, that's correct, the other pages that I checked are fine, but only Dmail (and only certain Dmails) pages are cut off on the right.

Alrighty. We'll see what we can do :-)

Mine is doing the same thing. iPhone 4S w/ safari. Most Dmail pages are correct, but one specific conversation always loads with right side of test box cut off, unable to read text that should be there.

Thanks for that, StillPlaysWDirt, I was wondering if it was a fluke. It's a small problem, but it is very strange that only certain dmails are getting cut off.

My guess is those particular dmails contain a long line of unbroken characters (!!!! or ~~~~ or ____ or .....) and our system is/was not designed to "break" those strings to wrap to the next line.

The dmails in question actually don't have any unbroken strings of characters.. Just normal text.

I just checked, and I don't have unbroken strings of characters, either.

If it's only happening in some dmails, there is something within the text that is causing it to render oddly.

Does it display properly on a computer or iPad screen, or is it wonky on any platform?

If you want us to dig into it, use this link: http://davesgarden.com/helpdesk/dg/ to send us a note and tell us which message(s) to look at for formatting issues. We respect your privacy, so we won't dig into them unless you really want us to.

Thanks Terry, will try to pull up that Dmail from my desktop PC today and check. It's really not that big of a deal, but if I'm not the only one having the issue, it would be beneficial to look into.

I have the same phone, it is the new apple operating system. I hate it so much that I'm about ready to go into Verizon and get another iPhone 4 and when it says to update to the new operating system say no.

Yeah I made the mistake of updating to iOS 7 also. Boo! What a pain to relearn everything! Unfortunately was already having this problem before upgrading..
Will update after I've had a chance to access DG from my desktop :)

Oh sorry it isn't all due to the new iOS7. I never had a problem until that thing.....

I had the same issues before and after the ios update.
