Search question re OpenDaysProgram

Albany, ME(Zone 4b)

I want to find out how often the OpenDaysProgram.org has been mentioned in Dave's Garden. If I put opendaysprogram in the Forum search I get no hits. If I put it in the DG search I get an overwhelming number of hits. But if I go to one of those spots and then try I.E.'s Find on this page, I get no hits. Can you explain this latter phenomenon? And can you tell me if the OpenDaysProgram has been discussed in DG?

TIA

I only got tradelist results from one person: http://davesgarden.com/sitewidesearch.php?q=opendaysprogram

I can't tell you why it's doing that, other than something in that string of characters is triggering those results. (A little like figuring out why something is short-circuiting...it's interesting, but utlimately, you just don't stop it from short-circuiting, more than anything else. Bottom line: the open days program probably hasn't been discussed in depth here. I'd recommend posting it in the regional forum that encompasses wherever it is being hosted.

the reason nothing comes up in
ie search is because forums on
dg are only for paying members,
therefore "private".

If you were to do a search for
something open to the public,
like plant files or watchdog,
theoretically, you would get
results.

I think there are some forums open to the public, but I have not checked to see which ones or how many. I don't know how that applies to the search engine.

I am a paying member. The search I'm referring to is "Find on current page." It just searches the page you already have loaded. Shouldn't have anything to do with private vs public web sites. But thanks for taking an interest.

Your browser's "Find" feature is not affected by the forum being public or private - it is looking through the current page - which it can "see" just as you do.
