Cleaning out dmails?

For some reason my previous post never appeared. I'm trying to delete everything in my inbox and my deleted box in the dmail section. Any idea how to do that? I've moved all but a few items from "inbox" to "deleted" but when I try to delete that folder, it wants to put all the messages back in my inbox. I just want them to go away. ??

Dmails aren't like email messages where you have a copy and the other person has a copy. They are more like a private thread between you and the other person, and you share it just between the two of you. So you can move what you see to a deleted folder to clear your inbox, but it doesn't really go away, since the other person still has the right to retrieve it at any time.
