Resubmitting problem with list of forums

Albany, ME(Zone 4b)

I've posted about this in years past, but I've just bumped into it again, and now I have the Snipping Tool to show exactly what I mean. In Search Forums/Advanced Search there is a list of forums you can use to limit your search. But the list is not alphabetized completely. I think I was told once that it was alphabetized within categories, but with nothing to say what the categories are or where they begin and end it's most confusing. If DG thinks this is a feature, I'm pretty sure most users would disagree. Can we have just a clean alphabetized list of forums?

TIA

I thought the same thing LAS but no sense in arguing with their logic. A Google search is faster than the DG search IMO. If you do use Google make sure you add the keywords Dave's Garden to whatever you are searching for.

The categories can be distinguished from forums because they are not indented (the forums are indented beneath each major category.) The categories are the same as on this page: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/

The reasoning is thus: you can search by a single forum, multiple forums (hold down your Ctrl key and use your mouse to scroll and highlight the forums you want to search), or you can search within a specific category.

Which makes sense (even if it's not as straight-forward as you might like). For example, if you're looking for a recipe, you can look in the Cooking & Entertaining category, or limit yourself to one, two or three forums.

Terry, if you look at the picture I attached, you'll see that there are no indentations. I expect you're looking at a different part of DG.

LAS, I was in the same area, but a different browser (Firefox). When I logged in with I.E. 10, I saw the same thing you did, and I'll let the techs know that we need to work on that formatting. I'm not sure what priority it will get right now, given the fixes that need to take priority.

Thanks, Terry. I really do appreciate your prompt and candid responses. I'm in software development myself and totally understand how long the to-do lists can get. I'll muddle along fine.

Thanks again,
LAS
