Missing Pictures in BugFiles

Churchill, Victoria, Australia(Zone 10a)

I was just checking the recent additions to BugFiles and I found that in several cases, when opening the page for a species, there were no pictures displayed at all. Each one is a species for which a picture has just been added as for example: Grapevine Beetle, Spotted June Beetle, Spotted Pelidnota (Pelidnota punctata): http://davesgarden.com/guides/bf/go/4700/
where two images were recently added, one by JThias and one by Patman326. No picture displays at all when I look at that page.
This applies to several species, but not all recent images have vanished. The recent image for Banded Tiger Moth (Apantesis vittata): http://davesgarden.com/guides/bf/go/5673/ appears quite normally,

Ken, were they added today?

No Terry but over the last week. I found the same with a snail species I just looked up. I searched for the Genus Oxychiklus. It shows three species. The first Oxychilus cellarius has a thumbnail beside it after the search, but when the page is opened, no images appear. My images were taken in 2005.
The third species Oxychilus alliarus is also shown with a thumbnail. When that page is opened two images are there!
The other species has only just been added and Laura Levens will shortly add some images to it.

I had a lot of my photos vanish from the site, too (at least a couple dozen that I know of)... and possibly many more I have not bothered to research (I have added over 25,000)... the photo loss seems sort of random so I have no way of trying to find out what other plants (I don't do insects too well) are devoid of photos that had them before... .but in just a 10 minute period I discovered many were missing, so my guess is a LOT of photos have been dumped from the site (thousands would be my guess). I am too busy now to upload the lost photos of my own, but in some cases I no longer have the orginals, only copies I can find on my list of photos I uploaded, so I need to learn how to add those so a water mark does not get put atop another watermark, and the photo resolution is not further weakened.

Geoff, are these plant images or bug images, and are they completely gone, or are they like the insect photos, where the thumbnail remains but the enlarged image is gone? Can you give me an example or two?

Terry, the BugFiles problem seems to have been solved. All the images that didn't appear are now viewable quite normally,

Best news I've had all day. Thanks for keeping a watchful eye and letting me know!

The plant photos have not, though... the plants I had images on are now completely imageless... not sure if these plants had other peoples images on them too or just mine but they are now even listed as plants species without photos.

I let the techs know yesterday about Bird and PlantFiles missing photos. Hopefully they can resolve it as quickly and (perhaps) easily as they did the BugFiles

Northumberland, United Kingdom(Zone 9a)

Just checked, the missing BirdFiles pics have reappeared ;-)

They DID magically appear... great!

(Zone 7a)

palmbob, are you saying the missing PlantFile pics have reappeared too?

Acton, CA(Zone 8b)

As far as I can tell, they all have come back

(Zone 7a)

palmbob - thank you for letting us know. Wish I could feel as confident about PlantFiles being intact otherwise.
