Some rain predicted for tomorrow. I hope so. the ground is so hard & dry, it's difficult to get the weeds out.
Weather in your Garden #134
Funny how the crab grass is giving up it's ghost here. There's this deeply growing milkweed like vine that is almost impossible though, so to be optimistic I am thinking the shovels-full are lighter while the ground is dry. We truly need some rain. No amount of watering is enough.
67° a few sprinkles heavier rain would be great.
Started out cloudy and cool, sun is breaking thru right now
Showers during the night, very overcast & cool right now.....
whew it got a little toasty this afternoon(it hit 84°), now the clouds are back...what a weird day!
low 80's today
80° on the nose this afternoon. Showers, but not real rain. Air from the north seems to be holding the Midwest heat at bay.
rained overnight now it's sunny but grossly humid
Pam, if you're looking for a more upright hydrangea, Revolution stands up......3' tall, 2' wide, tight clusters of blue flowers on old & new wood. Very cloudy right now, heading to the beach.
0.8" this am. very humid tonight.
Thanks, Marilyn. I have.A Limelight to put there, but I was hoping to keep the Samanthass because they bloom so much earlier. It's nice to know about a good blue, though.
Cloudy and thick 85% humidity, supposed to rain
70° & hazy sun I wish we would get some rain.
getting darker
NJ seems to be gathering all the late summer rain.
we just had a rain shower. very humid
It rained in the city today
Cloudburst here yesterday.....couldn't see to drive, downtown was flooded.......weatherman said over 2" fell in under an hour......Very overcast right now, supposed to stay in the mid 70s......
Very dreary drizzly morning, sun just peeked out for about 5 mins, but looks like its getting cloudy again
63° slight drizzling today. I wish we had really usable rain. After heavy rains earlier in the year, we have really gone dry.
Warm and humid here today, again!
Back in the garden, rain gauges show 7/8," more expected this weekend. I turned off the timers. I guess the dry spell is over?
Oh, yeah...bigtime, Pam! Very overcast & cool right now....carpenters are putting in my new windows....yay!
We didn't get much if any rain here. Overcast for several days. The cooler temp is nice for garden work, though. I'm glad I took a few days of vacation.
Yay for new windows, RD!!!
86 here today.
It was sooooo gross out today, I wanted to get some yard work done cause we're having people over tomorrow, but NOPE wasn't going to do it, hubby mowed and weed wacked that will have to do
currently73 and humid
70 & hazy sun
Hot and humid!!!!! ICK!!
we had a couple of brief showers come through. didn't help the humidity a bit!
Spent the day at the farm where it rained for about an hour, but cleared up enough for the kids to swim.....
Raining again, ugh! We did need some here, I turned off the irrigation Thursday and by last night I was thinking to put it back on. But it rained in the night, then again hard around noon, poured at 4. at that point I checked emgauges and we were up to 3/4". Now it's pouring again, more predicted for tomorrow. I have work to do! Grrrrr...
Pouring here, Pam.....this is the rainiest summer in a long time.....just hoping it doesn't turn into the snowiest winter!!!
Rained here also.
dodged the rain here for the most part
rained .14"
Here also, we are getting some rain after dark, only. Humid, though in the upper 70's today.
