You know how in an email the person's email address is usually highlighted and you can click on it and then a separate window pops up so you can email them back?????

I clicked on it and it changed the spelling in the name...what the heck?! I hate computers!

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

weird. Sounds like Spellcheck with an evil plan to take over!

Had someone in the library using the public PC's and asking me how to spell things.'' Um, there's this feature called Spellcheck..which is why those words are underlined in red...''

hee hee

Need a new, Pair of sneakers. Nike Max Air. Cant buy them where I live. I have to travel 45 miles to try them on. 179 bucks or you can do it on line. I want to feel them on my feet. Plain & simple.

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

I have rarely to never ordered shoes online. Maybe moccasins, or if I've tried the exact same thing in person.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

that's crazy for sneakers!

I order the majority of my shoes on line since I wear wide

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

I hear you. Very hard to get shoes that fit well without trying them on.

My cousin's daughter saw three cows hit by lightning yesterday. needless to say there will be steaks aplenty. I'm unsure if it was three of their cows or someone else's. She was in shock!! I just can't imagine

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Whoa, that's crazy....guess they're already bbqd????

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Well I learned a lesson...don't leave Oxyclean powder on clothes too long

sheesh

If she was shocked--how do you think the cows felt?

Thomaston, CT

Poor cows! I had a 2 shirt disaster as well this summer....thought I had bought my regular color-fast bleach....nooo...it was some stain fighter that took the color out....one shirt was new, I had worn it like twice.....bummer. I've ordered sneakers and slippers online, but I knew my size in the brand I was buying....no problems there.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Heehee, Carrie!!!

Oh, yeah on ruining clothes for many reasons!!!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Wow Jen that's crazy! I'll remember that for sure!
I don't mind paying money for good shoes especially sneaks, but Nike charges way more than there worth in my opinion. Not a fan of them. Reeboks are my favorite but my husband won't were anything but Nikes.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I stopped buying Nikes when they started making them in Vietnam

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Aren't most of them? Oversees anyway...not much made here today :(

New Balance is made in the US

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

thanks Jen, I do need new workout shoes

I said hmm and sayWHAT and choked and gasped- when I saw the prices on graduation picture packages. Does anyone really spend 400$ on these pictures? How can people afford it?

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

$400!!! YIKES
Kids basic school pic package(they're getting pics taken this week) $15

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Some parts of New Balance are made oversees, assembled here....

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

Jen $15 is a steal! Our most basic package in normal years is like, $30?

Oh this is after the 25$ sitting fee that you have to pay. CHeapest package is 169, its two 5/7 four the next size, 8 wallets...and the subject of the portraits hates all his poses.

Our daughter did photos with her photo student BFF and I gave her friend $20 an hour for the playtime they spent doing photos and picking out pics.. Much happier use of my money.

Luvs- I suppose thats the best we can expect in clothing these days.

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

Same here, Sally, DD#1 HATED all her pictures and "forgot' to turn in the form ordering them so we didn't get any. $400 sounds ridiculously high. Does that include printing on parchment or lambskin or something?

OTOH, school pictures are sometimes the only record we have of kids traveling through time. I take that back; now there's FaceBook. OK, it's the only record of ME traveling through time, and of my kids up until about 10-13. Then there were digital cameras and no reason NOT to take 10,000 pictures of your locker, your BFF, your dogs and your backpack!

I love the pix of myself I can find and the pix of the classes when I can locate them, Everyone looks familiar but I have no idea who is who!

Thomaston, CT

Can't put facebook on your fridge....I like to see my grandkids' photos when I walk into the kitchen......

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

ditto on new balance - some are made in Lawrence ma and some in china.

A friend's post on FB, she is a manager at Mickey Ds

An actual conversation with a customer the other night....
Customer: I'd like a cup of coffee, please.
Me: Do you want that black?
Customer: What other colors do you have?
Me: :/

Thomaston, CT

NO! Love working with the public...of course, they probably say that about me down at DDs...
