Since she told me she would put all future messages from me in "TRASH", I see no point in writing to her.
I don't think any Administrator wants to get involved in personal issues. I've had one in the past and was told to ignore those Dmails.
I saw your post and gave you the link, earlier today, for extras. It's worth keeping until it's back at the top of our page again.
Thank you so much, Sandy. That was exceptionally kind of you. I thank all who have posted here for their support. I'm very touched by your generosity. Many people could learn from you.
POSTAGE FOR TRADE???
Thanks pirl for the kind words. It is so easy to be generous to people like you.
I am appalled to hear an administrator would not get involved in someone breaking the rules. This is a family sight and although I would not leave because of all the friends I have here people need to be spoke to who break the rules.
I still don't understand the ones whom left leaving as I love so many here and don't ever want to lose their friendship or keeping up with them and their gardens. I have been and made so many (family) members. I have been through alot of ups and downs over the years on the prayer forum with others also that I count myself totally blessed to be part of DG.
I am blessed to know each of you on this thread. (((HUGS)))
Also Marty and Gitgal I haven't forgotten your offers of Brugs. Marty anytime you would like to come over I would love it. I may have something you would like to take home. We were gone to Baltimore for 2 months on business but finally home. We have to go back in Oct and I hope to meet you Gitagal. Wish I could meet all of you someday :)
I think the Administrators hope we all behave, don't call names, don't lie/cheat or steal, and "play nice". It would be impossible to monitor what more than 4,000 subscribers are saying or doing.
Thanks to iloveJesus, I did leave feedback.
You did the right thing. You've got Dmail.
Thanks! I hated doing it but for a measly $8.00 in postage, she made it mandatory.
Yes as I tell my DGD when they know they are choosing to do wrong it is the same as if they ask me punish them. As adults it is more so. I believe there are people whom hunt out those of us whom they believe will not do anything as we want to believe the best of everyone...the thing is wrong is wrong and right is right. There really are no gray areas. Even if you walked out of a store with something in the buggy you didn't see it is still stealing.
This person knew she owed and deliberately chose to steal your books. This is why people chose to give money to those with signs that say Why lie need beer....it is because they are not lying or trying to cheat you out of it.
Posting negative feedback when it is deserved protects other DG family members from having the same bad experience. Even if the offender retaliates with negative feedback it will standout against all the positive postings and DG'ers are smart enough to recognize it for what it is - trash. This is why it is so important to leave good feedback for every trade even if you have traded with that person many times. When I am considering trading with someone new I always look at the feedback they give as well as feedback they get from others.
Thanks, Sandy and frahnzone5. There will always be people who will lie, cheat, steal or take advantage of others. They have to look in the mirror at themselves each day and they know their behavior is wrong but I doubt it stops them from doing it again.
I recently did a trade with someone who didn't have any feedback at all but I felt the person was sincere so I went ahead. She's delighted and I'm very pleased. Everyone has to start someplace and I just felt she was honest right from the start. So glad for both of us.
Also, I check people'z feedback for other reasons, sometimes to assess their track record if I've had an unsettling encounter on a forum, for instance. In Pirl's particular case, now I know it's not just me.
Unfortunately I don't send plants out to anyone who doesn't have any feedback (prior to me receiving their end first). I ask them to look at my feedback and then to consider sending first.
Kim I am the same way now. If I can't get there side first (unless I have met or traded with them) then I won't bother to trade. I have been on here 11 yrs and that should stand for something in itself. I sent out wild poinsettia seeds to several people and I sent 100 seeds. One person told me none sprouted after several others said all sprouted. I told them they must have did something wrong as I had several people say all sprouted. In the event they wanted more it was $6.99 + the 2.00 postage.
That is another thing that gets me....a small padded envelope with 100 tiny tiny seeds cost $1.98 to send. It is getting ridiculous to mail anything. No more free shipping from me. :( I will still send somethings with people for just postage but I don't offer many of them anymore either. It is so much more fun to go to local swaps. I went to 3 in the spring and gave alot away to people who had nothing to trade. I loved it!!!
