Darn it -- was I supposed to arrange for getting a hardy begonia to Wind? If so, I totally forgot and I'm sorry!

Wind mentioned on the swap thread that with all the talk of Hardy Begonia that she would like to try some 'next year'. Being the opportunist I can be, I sent her some via Jan last week. I'm sure this will only whet her appetite for more from you, Happy!

Hey, were are beginning to establish some trade routes for our beauties and bounty! Plants are so clever in getting us humans to carry them far and wide! I know I try to do my part.

Since my foot accident, my outdoor walks have been discontinued and I have missed showing you some of the late Iris and the other little gems I have (which are very few) but they are usually worth sharing. I do however have a shot I took from the golf cart yesterday since it was my first ride in nearly two weeks to see what the farm looks like. Maybe I will be able to get more today. I do hope so. Getting stir crazy in this beautiful weather. Greenhouse has suffered but have a girl who stops buy and is a big help. She knows what she is doing and we did the entire greenhouse on Thurs. plus the inside plants. I found scale and mealy bug ...like I need something else to annoy me. LOL
Here is a blue hydrangea my kids gave me a few years ago. We cut it back each year and this year it really is beautiful.

Thought I would post some pics of foliage today.

1. H 'Golden Zebra' from Holly last year. It was a very small plant with green leaves at first. All of sudden, it produced a burst of striking gold leaves when the hot summer ended This is what it looked like last October. Thank you Holly.
2. H 'Golden Zebra' now.
3. H 'Marvelous Marble' from David who grew it from seed last year. The tough little plant survived last winter and this is what it looks like now. Thank you, David.
4. Taro 'Black Magic'. Judy gave me a baby plant at the fall swap last year and tasked me to keep it alive :-). So I did. It is still small, but looking happy. Thank you, Judy.
5. Pineapple lily. It will bloom around July/august.

Dec azalea parade and lemon drop which is suppose to have a slight lemon fragrance to it. I'm stuffed up so I couldn't smell it. And evergreen azalea "oh my"

Lastly a hosta 'fragrant blue' maybe I can't recall off hand.

new thread for slow dial-uppers?

Many thanks to everyone for sharing their plants & flowers - so beautiful

Having computer issues so can't post pictures, but will say it's not true that the white, intensely fragrant summer jasmine is difficult to grow around here (Jasmine grandiflorum in an old garden book) - I suspect the shelter from the yew hedge at a gate might be what's getting it through our winters so well - This is one plant not worried about root competition from other plants - grows in half shade.

Hope no one said this vine was difficult earlier in this thread - if so, please accept my apologies if I sound argumentative - will try to read thread later tonight.

Really looking forward to a new thread :)
