End of May blooms

I love the fence. Was it made by a local guy? Very unique.

OMG!!!! I forgot about not spraying NEEM in the sunshine!!!!!
I sprayed everything!!!!--IN LATE MORNING.....Oh, well....

RRR--your "Josephine" Clematis looks almost like my "Proteus"----the color is the same.

Funny--how there are about 4 different looking blooms on this little plant.
I posted these different "faces" on one of the other Threads. I find this very odd.....

It is only its 2nd year....The blooms were spectacular! Gita

RRR-- what is your Josephine supported by? In your photo, it appears to be just floating ...

I saw a plant today that looked like liriope, except the leaves were mostly silver. The owner told me it was Liriope Licorice -- but she seemed unsure, and I can't find anything by that name. Any guesses as to what it might have been? I took a photo -- I need to download and post it.

Happy, the Clems are on a tomato cage.

Happy, take a look at this link. does it look like this? I have this plant and it comes in regular size and miniature....very invasive after awhile, but tough as nails and can be grown almost anyplace. It is also poisonous to pets and people if ingested. Great for hanging baskets or other containers. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/55068/

JB - no, that's not it. It really looked just like liriope except the leaves were mostly silver (maybe a Carex), and I asked the owner if it was liriope and she said yes; she said she thought the cultivar was Licorice. But I can't find anything of that name on-line.... I still haven't downloaded the photos I took....

Sorry, thought maybe I would get lucky for you. There are alot of them listed in the plant file but when you get the pictures you will have more to work with.

Hmm -- that's close, flowAjen -- but I don't think it was a spicata, and it seemed more silvery than striped with silver. Though I may remember otherwise when I look at the photos. Unfortunately, I wasn't careful to take close-ups because I thought I had the name right....
