Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Hi Weeze!!! Missed your post, nice to have you back!!

Rain showers today, tropical storm tomorrow.

South Hamilton, MA

heavy clouds which makes it very gloomy this time of day. temp: 56°

Lititz, PA(Zone 6b)

Haha...well said onewish1 :)

I was registering one inch on the rain gauge this morning with more to follow. I'm glad we're getting the rain though because it's been dry here lately. As long as it's raining when I'm at work or asleep it doesn't prevent me from being outside :)

Thomaston, CT

Miss you, Weeze! Raining hard, 54, hoping that the torrential rain stays away until I'm home this evening.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hey Weeze!

Raining here. 0.8" so far today.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

WEEZE!!!

Delightful rain!! Nice and steady. Soaking in well. Needed it badly.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

It was raining lightly in Nantucket when we left on the 7:45 ferry, but began at a much steadier pace once we got just off the Cape and the rain has continued all the way up to Vt. No sign that it is letting up. House was very cool when we arrived so I turned on the heat. Strange thing to do in June up here.

Here in Vt we have only one peony out and some TBI that are old historic ones that came with the house. I am going to snag one that is a pale yellow to go back to Nantucket. I will have to try to Id it. It could be TBI Alice Harding Cayeux, 1933.

I took a clump of Wabash back a few years back and everyone who sees it, love it or remembers it as a child. Love those old connections.

Wha, Boulder? I'll bet you aren't drinking that nasty stuff from Golden Co. What is blooming there now compared to your garden?

Weeze, yep, nice to see posting. Now if we could just get Boojum back. I am going to try to get to her open Garden tour on the 15th. Patti

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Hi All! Still raining here, with heavier rains yet to come per weather channel website. Forecast for tomorrow is grass cutting.

Thomaston, CT

Raining steadily, 59...have the heat on. Patti, thanks for the old iris site....I have that yellow from my Grandma's garden. Now I know what it is.....If you see Boojum, tell her we miss her!

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Love that pale yellow iris

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

they say it is green here because of rain this spring?? does not compare to home - lots of brew pubs here although have not indulged as I am working.

South Hamilton, MA

wet

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Still raining here in southern Vt. DH's rowing regatta has been cancelled due to flooding expected on the Housatonic tomorrow afternoon. Patti

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Closing in on 3 inches for the day.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Victor, That is a lot of rain. Not sure what we have gotten, but I am about to take a walk over to see how much water is in Baker Brook now. I know that it is raging, as I can hear it, but I want to see how high it has gotten thus far. It hasn't stopped raining yet. Patti

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

We had almost 2"
Drove out to Lancaster PA today....that was fun driving in all that mess

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

we still have flash flood advisory until 9:30 this morning.. crazy amount of rain.. so glad to see the sun peeking out.. 61 now going to 78

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Started raining last night around 10, still raining, coming down hard at times. Flash flood and flood watch on rivers until 1pm, 2 - 4 " of rain. 54 now, high of 65 for today....no sun

Lititz, PA(Zone 6b)

We closed out the day with 1.66 inches of rain for us. Looks like some more showers on the way in a few hours. That may throw a wrench into my plans....

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

Scattered showers going forward here today, and overcast. I can tell from the beating my peonies took that there was a lot of rain.

Thomaston, CT

A little water in the basement....mostly cloudy, 57....the flowers are saturated.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Raining still at six when I got up, but it was over and sunny by eight. Went into Brattleboro for the annual Strolling of the Heifers. Great fun and great weather. Thankfully there was no flooding around here. Patti

Thomaston, CT

Brattleboro is an interesting town......real heifers?

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Oh, yes, lots of heifers, maybe a 75 all decorated with flowers or ribbons or hats , plus parading Goats, Alpacas, Mules, Horses, Chickens and various bands including a New Orleans style brass band, a zillion kids, old folks, greenhouses (honest), vintage tractors and every know strange and wonderful non profit organization that we have up here. It is quite the local make do celebration without any glitz and glamorous. Though Miss Vt was on a float, but she got a lot less cheers than the kids with the poop scooper's who wear gas masks and bug suits and dance while doing their clean up as the parade moos up Main to the Common where there is kind of a Whole Earth gathering of vendors flogging things like maple syrup, yogurt, cheese, solar panels, portable wood fired pizza, wood pellet and wood stoves, tracker and lumber equipment and garden guys plus tons more earth friendly folks. I took a bunch of pictures but will post them when I get back to Nantucket in a couple of days. It is a Tie dye heaven. Brattleboro is a very special community. Patti

South Hamilton, MA

Sounds like great fun.

4 1/2" of rain overnight according to our measurements. 73° at the moment.

Thomaston, CT

Wow.....didn't realize there was such a gathering in VT....sounds like a lot of fun. Have to ask my friend Hazel Howe MacNamara if her family ever participated....she's from a well-known VT farming family.....

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

Sounds like Brattleboro was a great place to be today.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

sounds like fun!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

61 now going to 81.. flood warnings still active.. and more rain coming this week

:(

South China, ME(Zone 5a)
