Sounds ominous. Rain has stopped but very overcast and temp is now gone down to 59 from 64 an hour ago and the wind has dropped from 23 to 12 but is still out of the south. Patti
Weather In Your Garden #132
53. BRRRR. Rainy
Geez, winter is back for today
Chilly wind out there......tomorrow in the 40s????
we only got up to 46. callibg for 60's tomorrow(hope so)
48 now.. wood stove on.. crazy town!!!
Feels like March.
the wind is nuts out there
Yes, it is. No sleeping out in the tent tonight, so pop-pop and Henry are camping on the floor in the family room.
Never mind about April showers, May can be just as wet & cold.
I heard Vt got tons of rain, but Killington is still planning on having Free Skiing for their Final Weekend. Could be a tad muddy. I am going up to Vt on Sunday night, but don't expect to see any snow. Heard Northern Maine was getting dumped on.
Killington, VT - This week’s rains have washed away Killington’s plans to operate into June. Instead, the Vermont resort will offer free skiing for all this Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend.
We had rain on and off all day for a total of about 2", but it was not all at once so just a good old soaking that we really needed. Now misting and 59 with wind shift to NW at 10 to 15MPH. Patti
rain rain rain... 46 now going to 55.. wood stove on.. still windy too.. be a wonder if I can ever get anything planted
We barely made it over 50 with rain yesterday, today sunny and 61, slowly warming over the next few days
That sounds like heaven ,Deb, compared to 43 & rain which is my weather for today....heat is on, I'm still in fleece!
The inventors of fleece deserve an award. Chilly and rainy here too. 52 F here.
53° & damp. Mist is hanging in the air. About an inch of rain overnight.
drizzled all day - was covered in mud when I can in - moved 5 yards of dirt to a new bed - long trip down the driveway, through the pines out front and up the slope into the front yard - 60 yard trip at least - and more to do tomorrow :)
We have been defeated by the constant drizzle. Iris tour tomorrow. We must go because of judges training in the garden.
5 counties now on flood watch until tomorrow noon time. Enough with the rain!
thank goodness no more for us today.. the wind is still blowing this morning but not as bad as last night.. 50 now going to 66
holy cow.. the sun is shining!!!
Not raining, but mostly cloudy...did see a few peeks at blue sky....only 47 right now.
couldn't do squat out there.. the wind is so strong it takes your breath away.. nuts!
Same here, Allison.....
started out on iris tour in light rain. It felt very cold & had to dig our my fleece jacket. Sun came out as we headed south of Boston. Nasty wind though,
wind was CRAZY
Picnic at a friends and the crazy kids went swimming!!! water was only 65°
I know it wasn't as cold there Jen.. but bbbuuurrrr... 43 now going to 74... going to be going from heat to air conditioning again this week
42 now, high of 66 today...ssshhhush, it's not raining!!
have to go fix my peonies AGAIN.. poor things
Chilly morning, but sunny....high of 70.
52° sunny & stiff breeze. At least the constant mist & drizzle has stopped.
Debi & Jo, how close are you to the Vermont border? They got hammered w/3ft of snow!!!

Holy moly!!!
I'm a few hours away, it only got down to 39-40 last night, and clear
Wow
Global warming!!
great day - finally weeded, got 2/3 of the yard done
70 means sun dried up the rain here. DS is out cutting the grass for us. I got another tree planted and then wore out.
61 and partly sunny today...better than I had hoped. :)
DH mowed the grass around the iris beds. they are in old pasture. I was trying to see who bloomed yesterday while we were touring. Seedlings in bloom & have to measure & write descriptions so didn't get too much weeding done.
