One of mine just split into two branches. So it should not be long now.

lavender4ever ~ That is exciting! Have you any pictures of your brugs yet?

Mesilla Park, NM

Wow, that is really something. Mine are growing well and one may be starting to "Y". I will keep my eyes on it. Are they too young root wise to fertilize now?

Palm Coast, FL(Zone 9a)

I was hesitant about posting, but I'm afraid none of mine made it.

I do have two others in bloom though, both NOIDs......one pink, and the other a huge white. Some of my others are still in the vegetative state, so will have to wait on those.

Wow!! Would you look at that. Just 3 months later. You must have the magick touch!

Palm Coast, FL(Zone 9a)

Well for some reason my first attempt with the Dr. Seuss cuttings failed, but having luck with this group.

One of them is doing quite well, and when I went out this morning, it had grown even more, so I know that one is becoming established.

I have hopes for the others as they are still very green and feel solid.......they're just a lil slow coming.

Mine are doing great. I might have a bud, it is hard to tell. Two of them are two feet tall, one is a little bit smaller..very healthy.

Nice job grakay!

Palm Coast, FL(Zone 9a)

So glad yours are doing great, Gourd! Wow, 2 ft. tall already! When they are meant to be, they don't take long at all, eh?

Ooooh, exciting that you may have a bud.......don't forget to post pictures.

Mesilla Park, NM

Here are mine, the pots are large maybe over five gallon pots.

Yesterday I added some chartruce potato vines under the Brugs.

You guys are do'n me proud! Look at all the love in these picts. Just don't forget to bring them inside of the winter!!

Mesilla Park, NM

I have buds on two of the three plants.. Do you know how long from bud to bloom. I think there is time for them to bloom before it gets too cold. They are doing great they are almost three deer tall, unbelievable ..

Long Beach, CA

How tall is "three deer tall"?

Mesilla Park, NM

Three feet tall, this iPad inserts the word it thinks should go there, and I sound silly and my sentences don't make sense. Sorry about that.

It is all good!!

I would love to have cuttings of any of your brugmansias. This past winter was so bad, that it wiped out all of mine even though they were cut back and mulched well. I had over 20 growing, that I have had for 15 years (all different colors, singles and doubles)...winter literally broke my heart. If you do please let me know the shipping costs.

Thanks!

Mesilla Park, NM

Mine are dormant right now, one May be dried up. I started tasking them outside a couple of days ago, but I have to keep bringing them back indoors at night. The wind is horrible here and it's just this weird chill in the air lately. I'll start to give them some weak fertilizer next week. Hopefully by then they can stay outside at night.

Sounds good. I am so happy I don't have to take them in and out. Cutting them back would break my heart. I have a hard enough time trimming them. LOL
