OK, Coleup, you twisted my arm (hardly). I already have a spot saved for the lipstick plant!!
Chat and Swap thread PART 2 for the RU at Jan23's on May 18
Coleup, a black stem and a caladora, please.
I wasn't going to ask for anything(she said foolishly or who am I kidding) so I never wrote down what I requested, so with everything else I'm doing I have decided I will just rely on all of you to keep track. This way I'll be pleasantly surprised.
Maybe we'll just leave you one of EVERYTHING!!
Haha, RRR, that's hilarious! Jan will be buried in a pile of plants that she forgot she requested. :D
Coleup, that's a REALLY cool plant... yes please, 'Twister' cutting for me please!
Wind---I already have you down for the dark Canna....
I have to look and see how many roots I have of this. It was the smallest amt. last year
as i dug them up.
Was going to start on these today--but need to go to my daughter's to help her get stuff ready to plant.
She has a stress fracture in one knee and is on crutches...
Colup--You 'twisted" my arm too---I will take a cutting(s) of the weird Lipstick plant.
Do you think it will root easily? Will have to remove some of the "leaves' to do that--right?....
I imagine it will be like any succulent houseplant....
Also--I am adding something else to my "haves" list....
I potted in 6-packs all the seedlings I had WS of my Rudbeckia Hirta--the yellow, double daisy like flower.
I got 4 6-packs out of it. They are small starts--just barely having grown true leaves,
but now that each of them has it's own space--I expect they will start to grow.
I had this flower a couple years ago--on the sunny, South side of my house, and it came back the next year.
Then--nothing the year after that. SO--I would consider it a "possible" tender perennial....or annual.
I had seeds of this in my BOX--in case some of you took some....I know I will plant it in several places....
Here is what it looks like....
I'm collecting information for the name badges that will be at the swap for you to pick up. All you need to do is type in the information in a space below the heading. If you make a mistake and can't fix it, just go down to the next space and start again. This is NOT a serious project, so please relax and have fun with it.
This is the link to the spreadsheet.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AqWVfL80W6-pdDJyaldUVGUydkpZVUVrRGFnNWliLXc#gid=0
If you are not able to open the link, please let me know and I will walk you thru it. It's an easy spreadsheet and great tool to have. PS, I've been teaching Seniors in my neighborhood to use their computers even when they thought they'd be too stressed out to learn!! We start by turning it off and on for the first lesson.

Coleup, thanks for the headsup I already had Celeste to get some sibs, they look like this http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=9484124
Celeste I want it the brightest hottest pink DL I can find. from that pink dl search thread my favorites were Kalahari Jewel, Chance Encounter, Peppermint Pinwheel and Autumn Serenade
I need to investigate how to give permission to alter, Jen. Sorry I didn't think of this before I sent it. Will get back to you when I get it done.
Try again, Jen, and let me know please.
at the top of the page next to "help" it says "view only" that needs to be changed(I think it's when you 'save as' should be an option as to what kind of file), so we can type on it
Jen, im sure I can dig one of those up for you. :)
Terry, could not type my name in.

Please try the spreadsheet again. I think that I have it fixed so that anyone can edit. Thanks for your patience. We can have some fun with this once we get it going!!!
This is the link to the spreadsheet.
[HYPERLINK@docs.google.com]
C'mon Gita, give it one more try and type in any old thing that you want!! When you want to move up, use the arrow on your keyboard that points up. Same thing down or sideways. You can even curse me out in the "other info column" for making you try this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok was able to do it now, check to see if my info was saved
It worked!!
cool
OK, Ladies. I C U on the spreadsheet! The last column is for complaining about having to do this, or telling jokes, or anything that you have on your mind. Have fun!!!
Jen, im sure I can dig one of those up for you. :)

That would be AWESOME, thanks!!!!
Help! I need a Spread Sheet fairy to type in my name Judy and Dg name coleup. Thanks.
Roses/Teri it is not age related to me personally, but my browser is 'outdated' and newer versions won't work on my older computer.
I'm going to try using both DG and real names when I post something just to practice between now and then!
Another idea with names is to have a sign in each persons' area so we can leave plants there for them even if they are not there or we are not in our spot, or for those arriving later like Happy/Devon.
Thanks Coleup/Judy
I know there was some talk of hydrangeas. I'm looking for any named or interesting oakleaf hydrangeas. LMK!!
Paul
Take a stake or piece of bamboo, with name written on it in marker and shove it in the ground next to your stuff so the sign doesn't blow away
Judy, Your DG name and real name (sans last name of initial) is in. We are missing your e mail address and whether of not you'll be a gift table contributor. Just curious, are you totally unable to bring up the spreadsheet and take a look at it?
AAACCCKKK!!!
No worries, Terp, I have a shovel and an oak leaf hydrangea and there are runners!!! I am sure that there will be enough for several babies to find a home. There were quite a few that I brought to The spring swap last year. It was requested by many.
Wow, RRR, I figured on just having a table with tags and we would fill out our own. I need to go over and try the link. Thank you.
After having just the dogs and 2 kids for company, I'm thrilled to be able to do anything adult stuff. So glad that you guys are in my life.
Ok, got my info on the doc, that was easy.
Ok, Judy - got you covered for the requests in above post.
I did it, but is it saved?
I don't see you, Jan. But, do keep trying. It could be something as simple as not hitting the last "return" or something. You'll know when you get it if you close the fine down, then recall it from the link. You should see yourself when it comes back. Let me know.
Got it I think
I added my info to the spreadsheet - worked fine.
Roses/Teri That's all the info I care to list at this time.
I saw the spreadsheet with first three names entered then Google notices that my browser is outdated and I see a screen with hundreds of little boxes that I think represent all the little box categories of the spreadsheet that never load "You are using an outdated browser and some of the features will not operate or operate properly'
I C U, Jan!! Good info in the last column. I wonder if anyone who has already posted will take the time to look at this spreadsheet again to see what gets posted in that column?
Not a problem, Coleup. Just need to know if you'll be a participant in the gift table. Would you like to update your browser or is that not possible or desired?
Not possible to upgrade on my computer running apple 10,4 This computer is an 'upgrade' from my windows 98! My cell phone is 10 yrs old, too. Since I'm on dial up because I do not want to pay lots for cable/ wireless or data plans, I am for the most part happy to forgo some features and spend my money on live plants or visits to Grandkids. lol
I feel the same way about spending big bucks on computers. We go to a repair shop where the tech puts new systems in offices and businesses. He cleans up the electronics that he takes out of these places and we buy them for peanuts (and they are running very well). Most of the time, when our cell phone contract is up, our old phone is replaced with a free new one.
Let's continue our chatting and swapping over here
http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1309197/
I've added more daylilies to the list of ones I have available to bring. BTW, most will be coming bare root, as I don't have time to pot up or room in my car to bring a lot of pots. I'm not digging until right before I leave. Same for the hosta, irises and a few others.
Here's a list of what I just added: DL141 [NOID pale pink w/darker pink eye], Sparks Little Alex [small yellow], August Flame [late glowing red], Mary Todd [yellow], Irish Elf [mini yellow], DL8 [red-brown colors {one of my Mom's}], Saratoga Springtime [orange with orange/red eye], Lost Valley [fuchsia], Chicago Heather [pale lavender, tall], Canyon Lands [terra-cotta w/brownish eye], 94SLQA-2 (near white {one of my Mom's}], Cranview Meadow Mist [see pic on chat thread {one of my Mom's}], Cranview Fair Time [near white {one of my Mom's}, Cranview Blood Splatter Analyst [small red {one of my Mom's}], Cranview Alien Encounter [purple {one of my Mom's}], 710LY [peach seedling {NOT one of Mom's}], Annie Welch [peachy pink], Karen's Blueberry Dessert [purple-blue tones, {a NOID that I gave a garden name to}]
I also added light blue dwarf iris, which are blooming right now. I've never had trouble with borers on my dwarfs. They seem to like the TBI better.
Okay, now I'm going back to see what people have requested, as I haven't had a chance to read here all week.
Karen
