my password

I can't get DG to save my name or password. I took a look at the computer and the box to save passwords is UNchecked to allow passwords to remain rather than being deleted when I close the webpage. What's wrong here?

Make sure that you have your cookies enabled. We need to have those to keep you logged in.
Do you have another browser loaded to check and see if it is an issue with Internet Explorer? (maybe Firefox or Chrome)

I am computer-illiterate but I do have the box checked to save passwords if that's what mean by cookies-enabled. I have Chrome but don't use it and am thinking of eliminating it as most people who know a lot more about computers than me, don't like it.

Cookies are little bits of data that tell the website you have been there before. Enabling them is probably a preference on your computer's browser. Ask for some help. Firefox may be easier for you because of their saved passwords feature.

As any teenager or even 12-year old for browser help. The know everything and are usually glad to show off with their help.
