Quote from MargaretK :
Pied Cormorant which was raiding someone's crab drop nets. It swallowed this fish, blue nylon tie and all.

Bad news, that - hope it doesn't choke on it.

I thought the same thing, Resin. The amount of synthetic rubbish that birds and marine animals ingest or become ensnared in is frightening.

Yes, and it's sad.

i've been lurking… and loving all your pix!

It's been dark and dreary for so long here, not great for picture taking. Here are a few pix over the last week or so.

I would like to invite you all to come and celebrate GrannyGrunt (Donna) who passed away this past Saturday April13, 2013. She will be sadly missed here on the Bird Watching Forum. Her captioned photos have brought many of us lots of smiles and laughs!

I'm very sorry to hear that too.

Lakeview, OH

She will be missed by us and her feathered friends will miss her too.

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

My heart sank, when I read Nanny's report of Donna's passing. I had not been on this thread since the fourteen. I wasn't able to post on the Memorial Garden thread, because I'm not a subscriber here. I will miss her darling sense of humour. Her talents, and her warm heart.

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Don't worry Burn....Donna knows.

The summer birds are arriving. I have seen Brown Thrasher, and an Indigo Bunting while out walking the dog and Seeing lots of Chipping sparrows every where now. The Baltimore Orioles should be arriving any day now.
