Good quote for today!

Optimist: "the glass is half full." Pessimist: "The glass is half empty. " Mother: "Ok, who didn't put their glass in the dishwasher?"

I loved that!!! Her face just brightened so with each chorus. Very sweet. You know what I'll be singing all day now

Now that song..it's in my head!!!!

It was 3 years ago today that my DH passed....I wrote in my journal, never realizing until the following year that the page heading was Psalm 46:1.... God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble.

I needed that quote today as I was driving Suey through horrible traffic, cold rain, & coming home, stopping for her to pee twice because of the meds she was given....not the best of days.

I love music!

Listening to classical puts me in a mellower mood......

I need encouragement to try to play flute again, maybe to play along with my kids if I can get good enough again. Having a facial paralysis was a big blow almost 20 years ago. Neck surgery was intended to release some facial muscles, and is healing nicely.

So happy to hear that, Rosemary!

good to hear

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

So glad for you Rosemary :)

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks. Now if I can only develop an embouchure--its like blowing over a bottle.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Wonderful news Rosemary! Good luck with the flute, such a pretty sound.

Good to hear, Rosemary. I believe you can do it with such great motivation!

Have to come inside from the garden projects to practice, however.

Hearing from someone you love and that makes you smile is a GOOD thing.

Yesterday was Miss Maggie's turn to spend the night. My DDIL in Oregon has a special place in her heart for Maggie because she reminds her of her own daughter, Hope, when she was little. This is the DDIL who had the spinal surgery. Her recovery is painfully slow in her eyes. Sooo....we(Maggie and I) called her when I knew school was out. I could hear the change in tone of her voice when she heard Maggie. It made her smile and laugh. She thanked me for the perfectly timed call. She was in physical therapy when I called.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Smiles can take away the hurt!! Great timing Jan.

That was a nice gesture, Jan......

Your so thoughtful Jan, made her day and probably her week!

for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness;

Nice quotes.

Good thoughts to keep our focus where it should be. I've now completed the full battery of tests to see what's going on now.....just waiting for the results. I sure do feel better than when we arrived last year. I'm hoping the nightmare is largely behind us. 😊

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

I hope so too.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Praying so, tooooo, dear!!

Thomaston, CT

Think of you often, Louise......hope the tests are normal!

Thinking positive thoughts for you Louise!!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Thanks all! Good news is much more fun to share with good pals....I'm feeling positive about it.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Hi Louise, i'm glad your feeling better this year, but still pray they find out whats going on. Then you can have the answers you've waited so long for and work on a solution. :)
