Coming from here ~ http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1297880/#top

It keeps snowing every day a little but Spring is creeping in anyways. I know when I get up @ 5am and it's 34 degree's that winter is on it's way OUT!!!
High of 38 for today and more snow showers but that's OK, I can handle the 30's. LOL

Rhodie will be waking up soon. :)
Can you see the robins in the tree? They are probably wishing they hadn't arrived so early but im happy to them.

Just saw the weather....mid Atlantic States are about to get hit with a big snow storm. It stretches from DC to Southern Maine. Where I live will only get an inch or two. Hopefully this will be you guys last big storm!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

starting here tonight.. 33 now going to 41

Mendon, NY(Zone 6a)

Daylight savings begins this saturday and spring is exactly 2 weeks ahead. I can't wait to see the blooms begin. The buds on my cornelian cherry trees are ready to open.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

OMGoodness!!! I see the sun!!!!!!!!! I think this is the first time in over a week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

Well we got rain overnight and 37F but the precipitation is supposed to go on for a few days.

Thomaston, CT

Already up to 36, rain & snow for the next 3 days.....possible 3-6" of snow....not happy about this......

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Windy ahead of the storm. Rain changing to snow tonight.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Extremely windy!
We had a little rain here and there 39°

They still don't really know we're seeing 1-3" or 6-10" or less than a 1/4" but will be all gone since it supposed to be in the 40's tomorrow
Of course, it couldn't have been today...I wanted to go the Philly Flower Show tomorrow, grrrrr(I already bought tickets!)

Thomaston, CT

Few snow squalls while I was traveling home.....still saying 3-6" for here....

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Drove from Vt to Boston tonight via the pike. Had rain and a few flurries along the way, but temp was hovering just above freezing. DH says it is blowing like stink in Nantucket. He thinks we will lose the rest of the big cedar which lost two of its three big trunks in the last storm. They have closed the Great
Point lighthouse area of the island as they are expecting huge waves which could flood that spit of land. Never had them do that before. I am going to miss it all as I am dog sitting until Monday. Patti

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Sorry about your bad weather.Foe once we are lucky and will have enough warmth and sun to melt the snow cover.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

30 now, high of 38 today and windy.
Hope you guys in the snow belt are safe!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

yes hope all are good.. supposed to start here soon but we should get too much.. 37 now going to 40

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

Predictions are snow continues here but tolerable inside the 128 belt. Too bad work often takes me to 495. We're getting a steady snow this morning, much nicer for travel than the many bursts of sleet last night since the salt trucks did their jobs overnight. 32F and very grey out, little wind.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

not sure what these weather people are doing.. the sun is out here... ?????

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Well consider yourself blessed so far........

"In Virginia, Gov. Bob McDonnell declared a state of emergency and about 50 National Guard soldiers were sent out to help clear roads. Up to 20 inches of snow piled up in central and western parts of the state. More than 200,000 people in Virginia alone were without power and another 40,000 in New Jersey were in the dark. Hundreds of wrecks were reported around the region.

"Over the next 12 hours, as the storm churns up the coast quite slowly, we expect a lot more heavy wet snow, we expect heavy winds and that is a dangerous situation," McDonnell said at an afternoon briefing. "So stay off the roads, stay inside, enjoy the day off."

Thomaston, CT

Snowing lightly, 30 degrees....not supposed to be bad until tonight.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

Lightly snowing in Brookline but have enough that the windshield needed cleaning off before the wipers would work as it is a heavy wet snow. Pretty out in the yard, but I am ready for winter to be over. Bet I would get a quick second on that. Roads are fine where there is traffic flowing to keep it melted. DH went into town to put on an extra line on the boat and said there was lots of flooding down by the docks. Cedar is still standing though it is blowing up into the 60's. Our house has had some intermittent power outages but only very brief ones. Off to the studio to play in the clay. Patti

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

snowing now

Thomaston, CT

Stopped snowing for the moment......good day to play in the clay....

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

36 and overcast. the storm missed us yesterday

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

The weather report keeps saying the snow will be worse tomorrow...it's not too bad right now. Crimson Queen, boxwood and cotoneaster are fine.

Jeff said he had nary a flake in our town.

Has been frosty here in the morning here in Oregon. Today was sunny in the afternoon.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

been snowing here all day and finally started to cover the roads at around 5. Coming down good right now.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

grass is covered here.. doesn't look like it's sticking in the street

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

looks like we got 4 - 5 inches.. but not nearly that on the roads.. 34 now going to 40

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

It's 28 here this morning, windy with on and off snow showers and a high of 40 today.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

supposed to be 48 here tomorrow.. won't last long thank goodness

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

Now it could be called a small blizzard. Looks like about 5" overnight and coming down fast.

Thomaston, CT

Still snowing here....about 6" in the drive....looks pretty, but I'm not too happy.

I have been out shoveling out the drive this morning. It looks like 10" to a foot here in Brookline. BIL has a lovely house that back up to a golf course with a long circular drive, but no one apparently hired to plow. They are coming back from Scotland late tomorrow night and may be surprised that their two cars are buried in the garage as I don't think I can dig that part out too. But maybe I will rally after I go unload one kiln and load another kiln at the studio as soon as I finish cleaning the car off. The street in front of the house seems fine as it has a lot of traffic and they were plowing it early this morning. Lucky the snow is light at this point so my back is fine so far. It sure is pretty, but like Robindog, enough. Patti

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

it is still snowing hard here - so much for the yo-yo weather reports looks like we will get 10" or more when all is said and done :)

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

SURPRISE!!! was not expecting to see the snow this morning...Guess it's about 3" and it's still snowing...no delayed opening, good thing hubby works for himself, he drove the kids in and is doing office work today

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

now they think we are in the 18" zone :)

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

WTH we are up to about 4'' and still snowing. Streets are clear but lawn and bushes are covered...just enough to be a pain!

Thomaston, CT

Still snowing very hard.....will probably be in the 8-10" range....

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

I shoveled for about 2 hours this morning and then went to studio to load a kiln and naturally when I got home a plow had come and done the drive as well as in front of the garage which I hadn't done. Happy but it still needs more plowing or shoveling as more snow arrived after the mystery plow had come and gone. Snow has stopped in Brookline. Patti

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

snow stopped at 1PM - looks to be 14-16" total here and melting - hope the ski mobiles are packing this down or it could be sticky snow for skiing

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

snow stopped about 3 and started to rain
