CLOSED: Mostly transparent small little flyer

I've been seeing these small mostly transparent little (maybe 1/4" or 6 to 7 cms not including the "tail" filament) flyers in the garden for a few years now and always think it would be interesting to know what they are.

There are two whispy filaments that probably come from the body of the insect but in the photo look like they are coming from a wing tip. There are two filaments although the photo only appears to be showing one. Mostly I see these insects on the walls. This is the first time i've noticed one on a flower. Do we know what this is?

Mayfly (order Ephemeroptera) - you must be close to water, as their immature stages are aquatic.

So this is a Mayfly! Thank you Flapdoodle...if "thank yous" were dollars, i expect you would be wealthy beyond imagining (in a Forbes sort of way :-) I'll look these up and find out more about them. I am assuming this is an adult.
