Very tiny bugs in container of oatmeal packets

Morrisville, PA

Location: Southeastern Pennsylvania, USA.

Found these crawling around in a container of instant oatmeal packets that haven't been opened in a LONG time. They traveled with the person who eats the oatmeal -- he went all over the place (possibly around the country) with them a few years back. But they've been in a plastic container here for years, probably. (Very very rarely opened.)

Was doing a kitchen cleanup to explore for pantry moths (they've been around recently) and I found these instead. (Yay me.)

I tried taking photos and videos -- they looked better on my phone screen. Not opening up the trash bag to try again, so hopefully there's some indicator here to help ID them.

I have a video with 4 or 5 segments (from different packets). I could share that somehow if that would help?

They were VERY tiny. Like smaller a poppy seed, I think.

They were moving very fast. Some looked brown, some looked ivory/beige.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

Maybe booklice? I found this post and they look like what I saw, I think: https://www.reddit.com/r/whatisthisbug/comments/1di7fqo/found_these_super_tiny_bugs_in_my_pantryspice/

I agree with emblue - most likely psocids (aka booklice). See https://ph.health.mil/PHC%20Resource%20Library/FS_18-060-0517_StoredProductPestsBooklice.pdf
