Harlan Coban is one of my favorite authors.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

Patterson is entertaining

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I like Jeffery Deaver's too, although i'm more drawn to his Lincoln Rhyme series. :)

got Daniel Silva Fallen Angels off our sale shelf, and Michael Connelly's Crime Beat, (non fiction) in which this novelist talks about his first career as crime reporter, which helped form his fiction writing. Interesting.

Wow - shocked to hear about Angelina Jolie's double mastectomy. Wish her the best.

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

Holy moly. She and Brad seem to be devoted parents. which makes them very special and rare among hollywood elite.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Rare indeed. Wish her the best

Wow didn't know that, hard decision to make I'm sure.
All the best for them, seem like real good people.

And it was a preventative measure. Did not have cancer but had the gene. Her mother died from it.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

her risk factor was about 87% before this was done.

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

I just hope when someone has to make that decision they research it thoroughly before deciding and not just doing it because Angelina did

Watched Benjamin Button last night. Great movie. Sad, but excellent.

I can't characterize what I like to read very well. I think I like humor since my work is sad. Best recent book is Where'd you go Bernadette? I thought the satire hit it out of the park in capturing the inrony of the socially mobile high tech communities. I used to read science fiction and fantasy, but I think the formulas are too predicable most of the time now. I've been watching the Poirot films on video and enjoying David Suchet.

Now I want something to read for when I'm sleepy from the meds I'm taking for a virus flare up. Everything hurts, including my attention.

Feel better soon Rosemary.

Been watching North America on discovery,it's excellant!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I love Poirot

Anne Arundel,, MD(Zone 7b)

We tried to watch Lincoln, twice. Just too slow going.

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

Thanks, Ronnie. We went to Ironman III tonight. Trying to dull nerve pain changes one's choices. It was rather bombastic though I still had a good time, but the movie was overdone if you're not trying to blast off.

Silver Linings Playbook

liked it

Son went to Man of Steel- I had no idea there was a Superman movie coming out

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

I am still laughing about DeNiro and also the conversation comparing their pills in Silver Linings Playbook, but it's an occupational hazard because I commit five or six people into involuntary detox every week. My kids went to Seven Psychopaths and walked out because of the violence. I didn't know it, and got the movie from the library. I was laughing at everything because I recognized the pathology involved but told in a funny way, which freaked them out. Another occupational hazard. There should be a sequel "30 more psychopaths."
