wow tulips!!!!
Spring is peeking 2013
I did a little dance when I saw them popping open. Can't wait to see what open up tomorrow. Have to check the bloom dates from last year but think we are a week behind. Patti
Beautiful Jen & Patti! Thank you I needed that. :)
We are behind.
Debi-k and I went to our fav.garden center and the owner said everything is late.
No wonder I was about to take the bridge.
I have helebores almost open and a few crocus plus iris ret.
Maybe today .Its going to be in the high 50's nearly all next week.

Cloth of Gold
Nice Jo!!
very nice!!.. I need some cloth of gold!!.. the yellows always stand out this time of year
C o G is an ancient variety.Found in Turkey 1525.The buds have a purple stripe from stem to tip.
There is a teeny white one that looks the same.
I am out to do battle with rabbits and deer.Ate newly emerged tulips.
something ate my neighbors crocus .. was digging all around them
Very nice to see your blooms, Patti & Jo.....yes, the yellow really perks up the landscape. Brent & Becky's spring bulb catalog came yesterday.....I've been circling some that I really 'need'!
Aha! They haven't discovered my new address yet. I don't "need" anything, out here. What I need is a cool place to store resting Amaryllis, etc.
pretty, Bill.
How nice to see!
I was happy to see my ret iris blooming yesterday, not one bloomed last year with the warm spring.
It's disappointing when the flowers skip a year
Very nice, Bill and Jen!
The daffs are pretty.....
love daffs!
Nice Bill!
I love Tete a tete, it's one of my favorites!
Nice Allison!
Cool tree Allison!
Harry is very cool!
Love it Allison
I'm looking forward to the day my Harry is full like yours. Haven't seen any catkins on mine yet.
If they're like my Daphne, I'd guess its because they were battered by excessive cold and winds this winter. You got pretty blooms, though, Jen.
I have to other Harry trees.. this is the only one with that many.. the one in the back is really big.. grafted on other roots... throws tons of suckers every year.. the one in the photo I bought as a twig rooted on it's own.. so much better.. guess it's worth the wait for something the way it should be
nice blooms Jen!!!
Mary Gay is lovely.....
hate those suckers on the harry's.
me too Bill.. so glad 1 is only like that.. and the other two are rooted on there own... worth it to have curly suckers then.. and I bought those for $3.00 I think
both of mine are grafted - finally trimmed up the bottom branches last fall so I can get at the suckers easier.
yeah last year I was lying down almost to get them out.. good idea Bill .. thanks!!
I was so I cut out and trimmed back the red emperor or what ever the red one is called so I did not have to do that anymore -
Gorgeous Jen!
I like #2 best
nice shots Jen!!
I like the sedum with the crocus too, but all are very pretty, Jen.
We are traveling through the Shenandoah Valley this morning. It is cold (high 30s) but sunny and lovely. I have 2 deliveries of plants to Conn on Monday.....very exciting. We also have not yet seen Spring in our new place in Conn, so that will be fun too. It will take a bit of settling in at both places, but then I can play. I am feeling so much better this year on the trip compared to being so terribly ill and scared last year. YAY!
