A Special Thank You!

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

I just got the pleasant surprise that someone paid for a new subscription for me here on DG! Mine had expired back in October. We have had added responsibility this past year with having having to move our adult son in with us. He is unemployed and trying to get disability and will lose his medicaid in Feb. We also had to take guardianship of our 2 teenage granddaughters for the second time. The past year has been very over whelming to say the least.

So I want to express a very heartfelt Thank You!!

I must say that it is heartwarming to hear this, nanny_56. It speaks volumes for community. To the person who lent a hand: you've got a heart. DG has pulled me through "downs".

Claudia,

That is great to hear. The DG community is full of so many wonderful and caring people.

I like your idea of posting here to say 'Thank You' to your mystery sponsor. A DG Angel paid my renewal some years back when I was unemployed and struggling to get by. It was so heartwarming to know that someone cared that much. It truly lifted my spirits. At the time, I was unable to think of a good way to say thanks given that I didn't know the name of the generous person who paid for me. I wish I had thought to do as you did and post it here. Very smart thinking.

Glad to know that you will continue to be with us here at DG. I hope things get better for you and for your son very soon.

I was so surprised by the gift that I just felt I had to do what I could and hope the person saw it so I posted on 3 places here on DG and on my Facebook page since I have people from DG as friends on FB too.

It is a small thing I guess but the gratitude I felt was so big!

I understand. It really touches you in a very big way, not like a small thing at all. That it comes at a time when things are going a bit bad for you also seems to make it all the more heart-warming to know that you have a friend out there, someone who cares. I truly do know that feeling. I hope your benefactor did see one or more of your "Thank You" threads.
