lists

I have been a subscriber since 2004. I have yet to figure out the order of lists. list like members, subscribers, etc. Any list on this site. i.e. They obviously are not alphabetical. By date of joining? By zones? Nothing makes sense.

It would help a lot if the headers of each list stated how the list was put together. how to find something.

Maybe I worked in offices too many years where you had to be able to find something without spending the entire day looking for it.

I think it is very strange that this subject has not been brought up by anyone else before this. Maybe it is very simple and right before my eyes and I am trying too hard to figure it out??? As stupid as that would make me look, I hope that is it.

I found this out a short time ago. When you are in the Member List, ie. Washington State and you put your mouse over one of the criteria, ie. Username, Subscriber, Date of Signup, etc you'll notice your mouse pointer turns into a click-able. Click on it and it will organize the list by the header of your choosing.

Thanks, does that happen with all the lists? I know that if you hold your mouse on the name of a poster, like you, or I are here, that it will tell if the person is a subscriber.

It would be nice if they had instructions somewhere and let us know, how to use the lists if they are all the same, or the header of each list how to use them, or to find something on them if they are different. Seems to be no rhyme nor reason as to how they are put together.

If there is a secret maybe Terry or Melody can tell us.

Also Growin, Nowhere does it say how to even find the member list. Maybe if I were to go back and read all the rules and policies of the site it might say there? Guess I will try that.

Ya, finding that method of sorting the member list was a bit of a surprise, particularly how it doesn't show as a hyperlink or anything. Either you stumble upon it or you're shown.

I looked thru the site and guess what? Nothing. Oh well, That is why I don't get the full use of the site. Because I would have to spend so much time looking for stuff. Just can't do it. I have been a subscriber since 2004 when my daughter gave it to me as a gift. Look how much time I would have spent to get all that is here.

To access it, across the top bar where it says HOME ~ TOOLS ~ COMMUNITIES ~ etc...
That tool bar lets you navigate throughout this site.

Just click on Communities ~ the member list is stashed there.

podster's got it. On the large tab on the top for, "Communities", the third one down is "Member List". Sorry, I missed that earlier. "Browse by State" on that page is ordered by the highest number of members first to the lowest. Some lists on the site are not in any particular order or are unsortable. As much as Admin tries to update and keep things in order, it is a big site.
