Not tangling with you, Pixie....good shooting! Have not seen many birds at the wellhouse.....my neighbor must be feeding better stuff.....he's also feeding the deer & turkeys, which keeps them out of my yard......
Northeast birds
LOL Robin!! Not bad considering I haven't shot in over a decade. :)
Good for the last point, but will they come to you after winter?
Nice photo....WTS is very clear.....
Love the bird on the statue head, LOL
Nice group shot!
Thanks!

Haven't been to NYC Library in many years, probably 30 anyway. Can't wait for the hummers either, Jo. I was stuck in traffic today while trying to get to Mom's & a hawk perched on a lampost right in front of me....nice distraction....not a redtail, but close in size.......may have been a juvie, but I'm thinking it was a rough-legged....
I wish I could identify more hawks.I used to know many.
They're difficult......this guy had a small beak for his size, that's why I thought rough-legged....but he was on top of the lightpost, so who knows!
My eyesight is so awful and I agree perching hawks are hard to id.
I'm with you Jo can't wait for the hummers!!
Grackles and Starlings are back, yep spring is almost here!
At the feeder this morning.
Also new post on my blog BIRDS ARE OUR WINTER FLOWERS http://www.jwlwgardens.com/?p=5874
Have a great evening,
John
Nice cardinal photos...I had 2 males in my maple tree....just perked me right up.......
Saw two hawks on the power lines today while driving. Wish I had the camera.
Saw one down at our dam.....flew too quickly to ID.
Had 8 cardinals...4 males & 4 females on & under my feeder yesterday....went to get my camera & they flew!
They do seem to be a suspicious bird. When a flock of juncos takes off, the Mourning doves say 'where did everybody go"? the cardinals seem to be the first to take off.
Saw my 1st 2 redwings of the spring on my feeder this morning.....put a smile on my face for sure.....
I have not heard the red wings as yet. We usually hear them before w3e see them. sounds like a rusty gate opening.
had a red tail hawk land about 10 ft from from my car yesterday - no camera with me, did stop and watch until it flew off
Song sparrow on feeder today.....nice change from the juncos.....
Want to go see this.

That's cool!!
Very cool!
very interesting
Wow...would love to see that exhibit!
8" of snow ( & snowing still) with 6 cardinals under the tube feeder. A couple perched on it which is quite a trick.
I have one cardinal right now, lots of mourning doves....
whoa
