Looking good Allison!!
thanks.. we still have a ton to do.. but we are both beat after being out there in drizzle all day
looks great allison - i guess there will be no more knocks on the door - a lesson learned - set it up earlier :)
there is no earlier.. with Halloween.. pack up one .. bring out the other
Great job, Allison....we need to see something cheerful this time of year....
Phenomenal display!!!
thank you.. I am amazed at the traffic.. even a weekday
Celeste, I'm looking forward to seeing pics of you ice balls and luminaries. It's nowhere near cold enough to do that here yet. Maybe by Jan/Feb.
LOL! @ Santa wanting to dive off the firehouse roof.
Cool idea on the wine glass votive candle holders, Victor.
I saw some of those dripping icicle lights, Allison. I soooo want some!!!!! Your display is looking great. How do you keep track of how many lights you have? I would never be able to do that.
What an adorable pic of Miss Elle, Celeste.
Karen
we started keeping track a couple of years ago.. 1st year was hard.. counted as Randy and I put them out.. after that it was easy... buy something.. and write it in.. even if I buy it in summer or whatever.. breaks take it off .. not bad now
Okay, I see now. That's way more work than I would want to do, not just the keeping track of the number of lights, but setting it all out and taking it all down every year. It's a labor of love, for sure.
Karen
any hobby I have had.. went in full blown.. just my nature... and this is one we both enjoy.. usually in decorating there is one sane person to say enough is enough.. but that is not the case with us.. LOL
oh the drip lights are not cheap... be forewarned.. sticker shock involved with them.. but they are neat
Oh, I know they aren't cheap, so I won't be getting them anytime soon. Someday....
I go full blast into any hobby I get into, as well. My daylilies are a case in point....LOL!
Karen
exactly
Mouse got into a box of man tree ornaments that were in the attic, chewed on some of the hand made ornaments my son made in school :( must have been attracted to the glue??? found a piece of mouse poison in the fake tree we use for the man tree...good thing we didn't find the dead mouse in the tree
Ugh so grossed out!! sprayed everything down the lysol, hope it killed all those mouse germs!
Oh, uck.....before I got my mouse alarms, mice made nests in my Christmas Village....I threw it all away!
Had that problem a few years ago, had to throw away so many things, some Santas I had collected for years, they were cloth and I just couldn't clean them enough!
jen - where there is one mouse.............get some traps up just in case.
i had them last year in the basement for the first time - got a bunch of them - caught two more this fall and have traps set up and so far so good as no new bodies - even set up traps in the garage as that was the entry point.
I have the monster of all mouse poison traps up there
:) I am sure you do.
if they are in the attic where else might they be?
Wall-e has gotten couple outside :)
Other than the attic had them coming in by the dishwasher so we stuffed the cracks with steel wool and have a trap along the wall under the cabinet but haven't seen any evidence of any there in awhile
Get a cat.
Ain't gonna happen
I had one really great hunting cat....airedales are good rodent hunters as well.....
Found a dead mouse a week ago. They have no chance in this house.
Lucky you have at least one hunter in the bunch.....
sorry Jen.. ick!!!
Mouse alarms, Marilyn? We get mice in the attic off and on throughout the year. Hard to keep them under control.
I will up in the attic tonight looking for some software CDs that I need to install in my computer, but now luck. In my search I found some Christmas stuff that I had purchased, probably during an after Christmas sale. There was an oven glove and pot holders with poinsettia designs on them, a tablecloth, also with poinsettias, some hunter green cloth napkins and a small area rug with more poinsettias. Now I just need to find some nice napkin holders and place mats.
Karen
Mouse alarms sold at HD....need to be plugged in ....I have 2 in the basement, diagonally across from each other, working fine....
I'll have to check into getting those.
Karen
Like ADT? They call you?
"Ma'am, we just received an indication you may have a mouse in the house..."
I couldn't pull the 2nd page of the article...was there a way to get rid of it?
might be on the news now... saw a helicopter hovering .. checking out the lights.. I flipped the show on.. and he has been sitting out there for a while!!!.. hopefully it was a traffic copter!!!
Woo Hoo!!
Wooohooo Allison!
LOL
It can be seen from space!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hubby never got around to putting our huge wreath up or the garland and lights around the door...good thing I did my part, color changing snowflakes in the windows, wreath on the door and lawn decorations
Sounds exciting, Allison.....the snowflakes sound awesome, Jen......Victor, I hate mice!! Stocking up on Lysol!
Wondering if I spray everything down with that Clorox anywhere spray if that will work?
