Sleet/snow/freezing rain, schools have been cancelled or delayed. 28 now, high of 39 today so we have a chance of it turning all to rain by afternoon. I hope it doesn't refreeze this evening, the Wreaths Across America are leaving Maine tonight heading to Arlington.
The U.S. Senate passed a resolution, which was sponsored by Maine Sens. Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins, designating Saturday, Dec. 15, as Wreaths Across America Day. A nonprofit organization that delivers more than 30,000 wreaths to Arlington as well as to more than 400 veteran's cemeteries and grave sites across the country.
As a Mainer, I am very proud we do this every year. ^_^

Super foggy!
49°
You should be proud, Pixie....great program! Foggy & 43....my aching joints would like to be in Arizona.......however, I'll take fog & rain over the freezing kind.....
It is a great program!
Dreary, but 57 at 11am today. Knuckles have been hurting and swollen. Thinking the arthritis is flaring up. Hadn't thought of that until you mentioned about your joints. Then I had a light bulb moment. Thank you. I'd never really experienced it like this before.
Gives me chills! Temp is up to 54, but grey & foggy......
48° & drizzle. We had about an inch of snow overnight. DD in St. Paul let me know that they were ok. GD flies home on Thurs. from south of Boston.
my sis in MN got 10" of snow. we were in the 40's and misting
43 now going to 49 .. more rain.. has to stop so we can be done!!

Sun was out for a little bit, but now it's gone :(
In and out here. Cool breeze.
46° & sunny. No wind which makes it better.
We have new daylilly leaves coming up through the fallen leaves. That will make a mulch, but I hope the bright green foliage will be ok. the DL right up next to the house are showing no such apperance.
Not to worry.
No, they'll be fine, Iris....mine are green as well......lovely day today.....just the temp in which I love to walk......
It's 16 now, high of 33 today.

At this time of year, even with a cloudless sky all day, all I get out of the solar is 15kWh. Compare that with 40 at the peak in May/June.

Not really. Sun is SO low now.

Yes - nice clear night.
The Geminid Meteor showers will peak tonight. Expecting 100 shooting stars per hour!!! Best time to view is after midnight. Look to the North North East.
