Help, I lost the ability to copy and paste a thread.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

I can't seem to copy and paste a thread, which is soo essential when I'd like to open a new thread, and wanted to be able to copy and paste the previous thread onto the new one. Any one else has this problem?

That's odd...what browser are you using?
Both Firefox and IE work for me when I just tried it.

Try a reboot of your system and see if it clears up.

It has been like this for quite a while.... I shut my pc down and re-opened. Nothing works!

1. What browser are you using?
2. What operating system are you using?
3. Have you checked for viruses?
4. What steps (be as specific and detailed as possible) are you using to attempt to copy/paste? (For starters, are you using a mouse to highlight the text, or a right-click and select all? Can you still get the text to highlight? And are you using Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V or are you using your mouse to click on pull-down windows?)

1. I'm using Firefox browser
2. window 7
3. how do I check for viruses please.
4. I right-click (usually there will be copy option), currently there is no such option. I can still highlight the header, but that is all it will paste-- the header.
Haven't tried Ctrl+C ... ect.

I'm still having difficulty. I have been unable to make new thread for I couldn't provide the previous link to an old one. Any thought?

1.Are you going to the main forum page to try to start a new thread? (It's easy to get "lost" if you're in a thread and forget that you have to go back to the main page to start a new thread.)

2. Once you do that, are you following these steps to copy and paste the links to connect the two? http://davesgarden.com/faq/forums/#127

Would you like for me to see if I can start the new thread wit the link for you?

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Oh yes, melody, that's very kind of you. I'll be right back with the thread I'd like to begin anew...

Could you please open a thread "Birds Nesting in The Garden vol. 9 and post a link from the previous thread? Many thanks.
